The brothers lawyer already won against Horror Inc./Sean Cunningham for the Friday rights, he has experience… and if Disney wins that wouldn’t change anything about the game, the Brothers winning might not either as they’re seeking a cut if future profits, not to take anything from the total rights package.

Disney already approved it, they own Fox, who licensed the rights to Sony/illfonic. Disney has been the company behind the curtain the whole time the games been running, 😂

The only reason this is actually going to court is because Disnay said - ok, this claim came in too late so we can ignore it(despait it obviously not being presented too late - it was 2016 when it was issued). And the only reason Disany said that is their lawyers looked at the claim and said “Oh fuck… they might have a case here!”

Disney has some scary Copyright changing mofo’s but if they can’t produce a work for hire contract and the bro’s only ask for future profit sharing. There’s very little Disney can do… maybe buy the rights, out right to save money in the long run but that’s gambling on the future profits of the franchise. Smarter todo the profit sharing thing and just up the rights cost to license.

Yes, all observers are saying the same - the Brothers will win this. Every thing they’ve done so farr is within US law. Disnay has no foot to stand on. 2 and only 2 possible outcomes here - Disnay will pay them off, or Disnay will have to let go of the IP. Ther is no option 3. Disnay canno’t say “Ah fuck the US law, we will keep this IP” Not how it works ;-)
