why all the complaining?

I periodically hear a lot of bitching about illfonic through whatever post i’m reading on this forum, people saying they wish this game was handed to a bigger company or people who knew what they were doing. well guess what no one else wanted to do this game, otherwise it would have happened. Asymetric games are a niche market and hate to say it no one is going to top the King DBD, so most companies aren’t going to try. except for the smaller INDY companies. Illfonic maybe bad programmers, but they make fun games IMO., besides EA could have made this game and it would be just as broken and they’re a huge company. or look at how CD Projekt Red messed up with cyberpunk. Don’t get me started on all the cheaters in COD games. Face it it is what it is and no company is perfect, and if you don’t like illfonic don’t play their games and please don’t just show up to their forums just to bitch, if anything offer constructive criticism, at least that i can respect.

thank you for taking the time to dissect my post, i’m not a noob by the way, been around since the beginning, i just don’t spend much time in the forums, but when i do drop by it just seems like a toxic cesspool, you make some valid points, but that doesn’t change that bitching and complaining doesn’t solve anything. everyone is so quick to point out what is wrong with a game, but i’m more of a glass half full kinda guy.

People tried to be constructive for a year. It became clear they weren’t listening and were unable to make the game even function properly. So now people are just pissed. And rightly so.

the game has issues and illfonic doesn’t have their shit together when it comes to programming, all the same i still have fun when i play predator. Do i wish that a better company made this game yes, but guess what that aint happening so i just choose to enjoy predator all the same and put up with the many bugs. i’m not praising illfonic, but i’m not gonna sit and bash them for trying to do something no one else even bothered with, and IMO something was better than nothing. so make fun of me all you want for having a positive attitude. BTW i’m not new to the forums i’ve been a part of other posts, i just don’t frequent them, might stop by every few months or so to see if theirs any interesting posts, but its mostly just toxic shits preying on people that have a different opinion then their own.

illfonic has proven that they don’t know what they are doing, but amidst the train wreck lies a game that has a great concept even if executed poorly and i still have fun playing it even in its current state, and if i was illfonic i wouldn’t want to sort through all the toxic shit people post to find a few nuggets of wisdom, face it they made their money and moved on to the next game. BTW if you guys know they’re not listening to your feedback, do you think they’re actually listening to all the bitching. No just other people who either have to bitch about illfonic or the few of us left that still have fun with they’re buggy ass, but fun game.

i’ve been around since the beginning, i admit i don’t keep up with the forums, only stopping by every few months or so, but i’ve been playing since the beginning, thinking damn it would be cool if they had a city map. or wouldn’t it be nice to see some more gear for the predator or weapons. the free dlc over the past 6 months being like a new pred mask or Helmet, while the paid DLC is just new skins for preds without any new weapons, the last big free update we got was night mode, which seems like childs play to bigger companies and believe me i feel some of your guys pain, but the game will never be what it has the potential to be, i swear illfonic is made up of like 3 guys in their mothers basement getting high all day and taking a crack at programming, but if you can let go of the hope that the game will get better and have big dreams of awesome content and face the reality of what it is, theirs still fun to be had in this buggy mess of a game. admittedly i don’t play as much as i used to, i’ve moved on to other things, i think i stopped playing regularly once the level cap went up to 999, but i periodically play a few rounds here and there and still have some fun.

honestly i think at this point the best thing people could do is look at what popular movie licenses are out there and plead with a bigger developer to make the next great game before illfonic grabs a hold of it and makes another mess., but that probably won’t happen either.

I’m truly glad you enjoy the game. I have fun playing it with friends. But when you combine how it’s been handled with how Illlfonic has repeatedly lied to and cheated the players, people have a right to be upset. Not to be rude, but nobody’s forcing you to be here or read anything. 🤷‍♂️
And you’re absolutely 100% right. They’re not listening to the bitching. They’re not listening to anything at all. Their time on this game has ended.

You’re right i don’t have to read all the bitching, but its hard to avoid on this forum, i usually look for Topics that are mostly people having discussion, but you find it everywhere., and i’m not perfect, i’ve been a part of bitch fests in the past, but when you read a heading like “Does anyone know the next update?” and its full of bitching or rude comments it seems like its gone too far.

On a separate note i think its possble illfonic was trying to listen to requests in the beginning at least, but i honestly think that they don’t know how to fix their own shit, thats why when they fix 1 bug 3 more take its place. and any cool content idea’s they maybe don’t even know how to implement them. I’ve been with illfonic since Friday the 13th and its been the same shit, different game. i honestly expect about the same from their new ghostbusters game. only difference is i’m gonna wait until that shits either dirt cheap or the free game on psn to pick it up.
