Would Night Map Variants Be A Nice Supplement?

Title says it all pretty much.

We’re all getting to that point where many of are just getting very bored of the same three boxes.

I doubt anyone would disagree, we need new maps.

But in terms of an additional quicker/easier content to provide, would adding variants of each current map (and future) in a night/evening setting be a semi decent solution?

Personal I feel like it’d be a nice tweak to the current rhythm. Or are we so far in and gone that its not enough? Not even to chew on for a bit?

Perhaps a night map even where you get double xp to make it worth the fireteams while. Because night maps are going to be VERY predator sided

How about adding some environmental hazards as well like fog, deep water, wildlife that isn’t boars, rain.

I think it would be interesting but without vision mode options it probably would be very Pred favoured, course the missions could be more direct or easier.

I’d really like to get at least one more map before night maps. Ideally it would be a city map.

Yeah I wondered how Predator favored it could be.

Would the typical toggle on/off green Night Vision (knowing this game itll end just end up being a green filter) goggles be too much junk for FT to manage? I think it would help but it has layers that seem unnecessary.

Its unfortunate too because night mode maps wouldbe a fairly easy thing to add that could add some fresh rotation out of the gameplay cycle.

A rain and night combo has been Brought up before.

Raining countering the constant cloaking while FT has to deal with darkness/poor visibility

Hmm okay lets see if you add night vision goggles they would have to have energy of some sort… and would kinda have like 15 seconds of use for each fire team member… OR better yet option… you have night vision scopes that also have energy in them but less view radius and are more compact to use and would look cool to use them…

Generally speaking they can literally recreate a fully functional forest in Unreal engine… that would work well lol… both snow rain storms night maps new animals

yes night time maps would be sick.

The way i see it

Any of those combo can contribute for each person… in a different way… the question is who is faster at adapting… 4 player squad or one predator player… To adapt in a rainy night jungle with wild life and AI … while pred is only able to stay in cloak for about 15 seconds or more… due to rain… and also the pred having better vission due to actual cold temps and body temps would be visable better

As the predators cloak works by bending light, would he even be able to cloak at night ?

Rain kills frames so I’m hesitant to say that’s a good solution to replay.
Rather have darkness than bad frame rates.

Not a fan of batteries for vision modes… that goes for Predator too, he has a cool down on target isolation that should be enough.

See my friend… moon also produces its own light effect and also a thing u wanna know… Sun is there even if its night time… generally speaking due to earths rotation its just not day but rather a night time which still has its own light particles

Rain would totally blanket out the predator’s cloak and visibility for predator would be next to ZERO - plus for the Predator.
However , the cool cold atmosphere would render the Preds infrared sight useless- thats a plus for FT.
The rain noise and general noise of night animals, insects would render audio detection useless - plus for FT.
So there would be no need to MUD UP, no need to use light feet gears/perks.

Needless to say it- night map in rain is a MUCH NEEDED game changer!

Hmm well lets say they fix the frames and optimize their engine and stuff… would you still be up for it… i hope its a yes…

Next… Eh well generally it would be rechargable same as you have predator energy right now thats how night vision would work for scopes… generally speaking its not gonna be too hard lol… 4 v 1 … so 4 night scopes vs 1 thermal vision that is also kinda hard to see in due to rain particles…

Body thermals wouldn’t change much from just rain though

On top of that rain does not really hurt the predator but they can make it so his cloak kinda malfunctions every 15 seconds or so lol making some noise or smth…

With rain it could cause thicker mud areas where it makes traversing slower.

slowing down running–WIN for the Pred!

Body thermals would change… due to cold atmosphere of night and actual rain and also the earth reaction with hot and cold… it would generally impact the overal thermals… Like generally speaking you can check AVP 2 in the graveyard scene… the vision is much clearer than actual day time where u have sun impact and other stuff…
