XenoMorphs! Got your attnetion? Why is Reload Ammo Cancellation even a thing?
Now the issue it seems is the Fire Team’s Reload Ammo Cancellation.
Its very annoying during the heat of battle when you Change a weapon during the last frames of a Reload animation (this is the Reload process mid cartridge levels and is found during a depleted cartridge reload) .
It would still change the weapon but disregard the Ammo Count Top Up (that is to a fully loaded ammo count)!
Ammo Count Top Up doesn’t happen if you do the following right before the last frame of the Ammo Reload animation:
- weapon switching
- interactions with environment like picking up V or killing a switch, Chopper Rope.
- health gear usage
- Aiming and Firing your weapon (forgot sakes this should not even happen)!!!
Let’s nail this down:
- Start off by firing your primary weapon a few bullets down.
- Hit the reload button.
- Hit your Secondary weapon to switch to it DURING the last few frames of the reload animation.
- (now that you’re using the secondary weapon) revert back to the first.
- Witness that you’re ammo count is still the same count as what you had before you hit the reload button.
Ammo Count needs top up mid-way through the animation (not at the very last frame of animation). We want to switch a weapon or aim and fire ahead of time, were not at fault here because it is a weird anomaly by its disfunction and NOT BY DESIGN. Allow us to play the way we currently do but without this anomaly.
Solution: Lock out interact or weapon switching or aiming and firing via a timer
( we can just button smash the keys anyway until the lock is disabled)
or
Solution2: top up the ammo count immediately after executing Reload to allow us to do other things and not be punished for not waiting until the end of the animation.
Allow new interactions but blend in and still execute with an new ammo count top up.
My biggest issue is
- the ammo count not topping up when we choose to do any of those 4 things ive listed.
- Our Ability to react ahead of time before we actually top up–and not have to time it because of the anomaly!
Because this is not really a bug (more so a quality of user experience) , i let this thread be posted in General Discussion to be discuss! So Don’t be a dick!
Quality Assurance doesnt exist without a User Experience. If you dont say anything, nothing will happen.
