Xeno's PHG Rework Part 1: "Game Modes"

Part 1 of 3 of my Reworks. A lot of players have their own preconceived notions of how the classes should play or how the game modes work given a significant dissatisfaction with what we have to work with right now. So here are mine.

[Hunt Game Mode]:

Fireteam can no longer stack multiple same class/spec combos in the same team. So this means that there can no longer be two players with [Assault] Unleashed on the same Team, but this does mean that a [Assault] Unleashed and a [Assault] Deadly can be on the same team.

Fireteam can no longer select Spawn Points. This means that despite Fireteam Players knowing the optimal spawns for each mission, getting that spawn will essentially be luck of the draw.

All Fireteam Timed Objectives must require at least 1 Fireteam Player to be present, no more auto completing objectives.

All Fireteam “Destory” Objectives are now invulnerable before their Destory Objective comes on. No more speed running Destory Objectives.

Make Fireteam Optional Objectives, Mandatory Objectives. This increases time spent in the match for Fireteam and another opportunity for Predator vs Fireteam engagements in a normal match.

[Hardcore Hunt Game Mode]

Make a Hardcore Hunt Public Queue. You can even make this give out more XP and give out Field Lockers for a Win or something.

[Clash Game Mode]:

Remove Map Generated Ammo Boxes or Medical Kits.

Remove -1 Gear Modifer for Predator.

Remove -1 Gear Modifer for Fireteam.

Give all Teammates a Blue Aura or Arrow marker on the map, regardless of Faction.

Give all Enemies a Orange Aura or Arrow Marker on the Map, regardless of Faction.

Remove Team Predator Bar. Replace with Personal Player Predator Bars.

Give all Players the ability to become a Predator Class, increasing chances to play Predator Loadouts for individual players tenfold and causing more overall chaos, which is the intent of the Mode. Plus more Predator PvP, so there’s that.

Only Fireteam Players can cap or decap Area Objective for their team, resulting in a incentive for players to remain as Fireteam if they so choose.

Remove Clash Mode Nerfs for all Perks and Specializations for use in Clash.

For those and Specs impossible or difficult to use in Clash, Rework their effects for Clash if at all possible. These changes are implying my earlier changes make it in. Possible examples.

Fervent (Clash) - If only Predator Player on team, deal extra damage to Fireteam Players.

Tracker (Clash) - Enemy Players that freshly spawn in as Predators are detected for 10 seconds in Thermal Vision.

Vicious (Clash) - Increased Damage to Predators.

Savage (Clash) - Killing a Fireteam Player restores a small amount of Health. If it was a Melee Kill, restore more.

Field Medic (Clash) - First Aid Kits thrown by you heal more for your Teammates, less for enemies.

Rushdown (Clash) - Increased Cap Speed if only Fireteam Player on the Objective.

Scavenger (Clash) - Fireteam Players you kill provide a small amount of Ammo for Allied Fireteam Players, Energy for Predators.

Overseer (Clash) - Increased Damage Resistance from Yautja when capping an Objective.

Comms (Clash) - If in a controlled Objective, passively provide a boost to Allied Fireteam Player’s Predator Bars.

Liberator (Clash) - Increased Damage to Fireteam Players that are capping or decapping a Objective.

Amphibious (Clash) - Decreased Thermal Signature. Stacks with Ice Cold.

I like the changes to hunt. But… They’ll never do anything even remotely like this.

All these suggested changes only benefit the Pred and it’s crippling the FT.
If you wanna suggest something, at least be objective about it.

It’s like I wrote “nerf FT” 'cause that would benefit me as a Pred player.
If there’s a rebalance, it should be on both sides.

I do agree with your assessment but a majority of Hunt’s problems come from the optimization and abuse of speed running missions to practically unbalanced degrees (3 minute missions lol) by the Fireteam while the Predator tries to match that by trying to speedrun as much damage as they can into Fireteam and make them forget about Mission.

Besides, to a Team that works together, these changes would only be speed bumps and that’s how it should be, instead of a water slide.

Which is minority, 'cause majority of players in pubs are potatoes who play like they never played a video game in their lives.

This will effectively enforce teamwork and rarely reward instances of wildly hunting Predator.

Which is, kinda like, what should be the case. If a team sucks because they can’t handle that simple concept, then they shouldn’t be playing this mode. And if they’re bad at video games then they’re bad at video games.
