Yautja are not honorable - change my mind

Which goes out the window as soon as they might lose and then they blow themselves up, regardless of how many unarmed, pregnant or just kids happen to be around.

I agree we’re going in circles, and just so you know I’m not the one you need to convince. I think they’re movie monsters and people will except any gross rationalization they can to justify the monsters behaviour.

It doesn’t even really matter, it’s not like humans are any better at being honourable.

Our own military tries to minimize collateral damage when they can, but often are forced to kill families in strikes for a larger goal.

Obviously Predators save mothers and children when able, but keeping tech out of human hands because of the greater damage it can cause is the larger goal, the higher priority.

Lawful good predator honor is such a memeeeee. It’s not like he carried her personally to the hospital. If she’d gotten shot in the crossfire would he have broke out his medkit or just kept doing his slasher movie thing?
If the “want some candy” kid had an actual gun do you think the pred would’ve entertained it or just blown him away right there even though its a kid?
At most I see at as the pred being like “oh thats a water gun, lame.” “Oh thats a pregnant lady, lame.” “Pity this old man has cancer, lame.” It’s more like its no fun mocking and murdering someone whos handicapped in some form or another, over the pred mulling over some intense moral dilemma in his head as he slaughters a train full of civilians that took some concealed carry classes. Then NUKES himself if he loses. It’s not even an automated system, the predator has to input his “I am a salty loser” koonami code into his gauntlet intentionally or there’s no explosion. And does his ship self destruct too?
If they care about pregnant women so much why are they even allowed to hunt in densely populated cities? None of it makes much sense because it would mean a sentient species that hunts other sentient species has an extreme sense of morality while also running around mocking, taunting, and skinning things alive which is goofy. Even if you excuse it as a “cultural thing” the foundation of it doesn’t make sense.

Very true, I would agree that anyone in any situation that does not favor(or is not being enforced) the adherence to a code of conduct Will more than likely to choose to ignore it if it is beneficial or “more fun” like the the train scene in P2 the CH basically threw the code out the window and said lets have a Slasher Party aboard the Pain Express.
Btw shout to you Slasher_Clone I played you earlier today GG bro 👍😁

“Murdering”. “Care”. Oy. It’s an intergalactic hunter. They follow a code, but if a human hunter accidentally shoots a pregnant deer, will they lose sleep over it? No it’s a deer. And we’re just humans.

They’ve a different honor code than we perceive. Even hunting on another Yaujta’s hunting ground is perceived as dishonorable and allows the turf owner to duel the invader. They don’t fight fair, sure, they’re light years ahead of us. But often do they strip weapons and armor when facing a foe they deem fit to go toe to toe. I think it’s kind of unfair to judge what they deem honor and dishonor when we base it on something familiar to us.

That’s exactly how they see it. The only reason they don’t kill them for trophies is there’s no sport in it. There’s no challenge, no thrill. Most Bad Blood are only convicted for taking easy prey, boosting their kill count with little to no effort or challenge at all.

I love how everyone keeps going back to Pred 2 and the subway “slaughtering innocent civilians”

You ever ride the subway? Believe me City Hunter had some skill to survive that. I’d have quit right there and run back to the ship.

“Guys…you’ll never believe it! I found a gauntlet hunt! We gotta get in on this! We can set up timed trials…it’ll be great!”

Being honorable and have a honor code is not the same thing, no people said they are honorable for us !
They have their honor code !
