You can receive a refund.

As the title says you can receive a refund for this product even if it has exceeded 2 hours allowed.

How?
You should immediately contact your bank or paypal, it will depend on the payment method you select.

You must comment on all the problems you are receiving.
Especially, if you paid something and have not received it (Lack of content for which I pay)
Must mention long queue times (usually 10-15 minute queue or even 30 minutes)
It should also mention the reality of the situation, this game was announced with the possibility of playing with friends from another platform (Pc-Ps4) After long hours many of us have accepted that it is impossible to invite friends from the other platform and cannot Play with them.
This is clearly misleading advertising.

If you have more errors, you should only inform your bank or paypal or the payment method I use.

I would like to mention in this other message that the game is fun at times, I have nothing against it and that little by little it will evolve into something better, despite this we must accept that this game is not yet finished and brings with it many problems.
This is just a guide, a help for those who want to get their money back and EGS refuses with the cheap excuse of “You have played more than 2 hours and cannot receive a refund”
I do not seek to generate conflict or problems, I just want to help and therefore I ask that it be respected and not generate a thread of conflict.

Yeah, that’s the reality. It is really a shame, because the foundation seems good. Illfonic needs to be smarter about this. Don’t take a contract with an overbearing company if you can’t deliver the good by the deadline. This probably needed another 6-9 months of work. I’m gonna hang in there because I think they can turn it around…I hope.

Anyway thanks for the info.

you’re bringing up a shlew of court orders. To say the game is not yet finished or you are not happy with it? Is completely subjective. Be lucky to get refund if you’ve played more than 4 hours of it. Its a multiplayer game only and you knew that.

and if there is anything to be said…court order it because much of everything you’ve said about the game is completely untrue from many other peoples accounts.

I only defend consumer law, I have already discussed this topic with other people in the forum and as I said you may not like the answer or what I am trying to do is to help those who really have problems with this game, problems and not just “I don’t like the game I want my money” This is only aimed at that group of people who have really had problems.

I repeat: I have no problem against Illfonic, on the contrary they are doing a decent job.

The main problem is EGS 'abusive practices and its way of washing hands from problems.

I completely understand. There are people around the world finding it difficult to get good pings. Thats totally respectable. Gone are the days of LAN parties. Best of luck!

Again, thats where is comes down to court order. The good peoples at Mastercard/Paypal MUST have a legal reason to advance or dispute a refund claim.

This will not pass as these are just hiccups that can be sorted and then what do you have then?

The game is being stressed due to this lock down and the DEVS being a small studio probably only had set measures in place to accommodate normal playing levels and obliviously being an AA small based studio they are still improving and updating as they go along.

They didn’t promise smooth match making times and the cross-play invites work for some people and some are having issues and the devs know this and are amending it in due course.

you have played more then two hours and that is as you say in their terms and conditions and your money as been received. the game hasn’t evan been out 2 weeks and they are trying to resolve issues so sit back and ride the storm.

your message is misleading and you are not helping this company grow this game by advising people to cut their funds to further fund this game

And just as many people have said the game isn’t finished including several critics in their official reviews of the game in major publications both online and in print. It’s a valid stance to take as the game is full of bugs, balancing and optimization issues and a real lack of content. It still feels like a beta. Whether the game is actionable depends on whether there are components that were promised at launch and not delivered, which as far as I can tell is not the case. Calm down kemosahbee, it’s all gonna be ok. No one is getting sued.

bugs, balancing and optimization … thats where I disagree. The bugs…every game has them. For a AAA title to have them is unheard of but a movement lock has been fixed. Balancing in this game is part of the freaking grind. Optimization is just networks. As far as I know, the majority sees it as complete as they wouldnt have launched if it wasn’t.

Major publications…are subjective.
Lack of content…is subjective.

Really, this is a gross practice. First of all, if you want a refund, speak to Epic or Sony’s support. If you bought PS4 from a retailer, speak to the retailer.

If you plan on speaking to PayPal or your bank, with the intent of being refunded or credited back, you’ll need more information. I think Discover is the only card company that’s known to be more flexible with it. But really, unless there’s a legitimate issue (more than ME NO LIKE GAME), this is an extremely gross practice.

This game IS finished and has future content planned. I don’t feel bad for anyone that purchased this thinking there was going to be even more content than we’ve been given. You can read reviews and watch streams to see what it’s offering. I think some people may need to practice looking into their purchases before pulling the trigger.

All I know is that I’ve put 35+ hours into it, which is more than some full fledged AAA titles. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve been talking to both parties, Illfonic and Epic games, for a week.
I am not the only person who has received problems and from Illfonic I have only obtained silence.
Epic games does not want to take care of the problem and sends me to speak to Illfonic and then he says his famous phrase: “He has played more than 2 hours, he cannot refund”
So I lose my extra money that I have paid for a content that has NEVER come to me, like me many other players are having this problem.

Sony might ban your PSN account if they don’t get the money. They might not give you refund.

I put 57h+ bruther! Illfonic isn’t your typical development house. Look at their lineup of titles. I think they have a great start! And them promising new content is good business values.

Dude, I’m sure it will be resolved at some point. Give it some time. It hasn’t even been two weeks, and we don’t even know what’s all involved with the resolution. It will take time. Because the issue seems to exist with EGS, it’s probably not gonna be the easiest fix.

Hell, I was hit with the issue and I’m being patient about it. Still loving the game as well. Really not understand all this insane demand for people getting their money back, etc.

I repeat it is not a demand but a guide with the steps to follow to recover your money.
And I repeat, the problem is not Illfonic, the problem is EGS and its abusive practice and that they only want your money and then wash their hands.

Guys be careful with this.

If you contact your bank, Paypal, or CC company, you will most likely get a refund, but as Galactus123 has pointed it out, will most likely result in an account ban from Sony or Epic. If you fall under Epic’s terms of getting a refund, great, however for Sony, you are probably SoL. You may get a refund, but then get your Sony Plus account banned, and will have to purchase a new one (which means you lose access to the multiplayer content of the games of the other account)

Be very careful when excising this. As much as it sounds bad, if you are disappointed with the game, chalk it up to you lost some money on a bad investment and move on.

Now if for some reason, you literally have only one game on your Epic account, or Sony PS+, then go ahead I guess. (With the cost of PS+, still don’t know if the refund justifies the ban and cost of a new PS+ cost).

I agree. Epic Games handles the network traffic and matchmaking is dependent on how well they handle peoples from remote parts of the world But that’s for another thread.

They’re small, man. Honestly, that’s something people tend to forget. Even with their offices combined they’re smaller than a lot of AAA developers. I love what they’ve done so far. Is there jank? Oh sure, but there is also a lot of detail and appreciation of the IPs they’re involved in. I look forward to seeing what they do in the future.

Wholeheartedly agree. I didn’t even think about it being against their TOS, very valid point.
