Perhaps, the point is that they are all human and Istvan familiar territory. We need more from the alien. And there were bits and pieces where the honor code was shown more; till more is needed.

Just hunting and hunting alone? No, plenty of ways to expand, different tribes, bad bloods, characters etc.
As a society?
Hell yes.
The Yautja are Hunters. That’s who they are. Changing that is the same as changing a character. Might as well make a new one because they’re not the same.
And this doesn’t limit their variety since there’s plenty of way to expand.
I was harping on the genetic part which what the other dude was hating.

That’s what I want more of. Instead we get human issues, which is something new, i guess, but how should the yautjs react to it? Only thing we know is, ‘you honorable, we fight together’ a la AVP. Weak

Retconning the preds to be geneticists isn’t more of that.

Yeah I didn’t see 2018, so can’t say much there.
I know, it was a good start. I want more pred issues.
I felt exactly the same way when I saw it and even considered unsubscribing from his channel (he’d already released another video bashing it for the same reason), but curiosity got the better of me and I bit.
It’s kinda funny that he points out how when Dutch & co. tried to fight the Pred like they would in a war they lost - but when Dutch got wise and went primal he found a way to win. Yet he also tears down the idea of “a 100lb female” being able to do a similar thing. Dutch didn’t actually win with brawn, he won with brains, using the environment, and some luck.

Dutch also used his strength to set traps which a normal person can’t, actually took the blows from the pred and falls that allowed him to get to his trap in the first place, make his gear including a properly tighted bow, and the ability to use the bow which properly to fucking Pierce a fucking tree.
It took both strength and intelligence for Dutch to win.
It’s never just one that’s valuable. And the prey gal lacks strength
And I think the film looks good. But your argument has a whole all the same

Didn’t really do anything new. Just another hunt. Perhaps felt responsible. Still, underexplored.
Hell how the fuck is the prey gal supposed to fucking lift a giant ass log like Dutch did.
That shit he did isn’t replicatable by her or anyone here just because he relied on tactics more than strength.
Wrong.
It wasn’t a hunt, it was clean up duty. He specifically tried to cover it up.
And his fight with the predalien was more of an assassination than a hunt.

From the looks of it the Predator is going to have many battles in this movie and have the possibility of becoming injured and weakened
She may have agility, knowledge or the area, proficiency with weapon, possibly dog will help.
