Legit just finished episode #5 and I was howling at that xD

same…no doubt i would have thought the Xeno was done for after a bout with the eye, but i guess he pruned himself of it! Gave himself a good scrub…not to mention how the engineer guy went full assault on our guy like he needed to save the day or something…
the sperm drinking incendident was also entertaining even if it was fairly mundane.
It hit home, but likely not going to be pursued as a story bit.

MY biggest wonder is what if all these creatures were designed as it they were all apart of one insane planet. Would it have been more interesting in the long run if they took the HR Giger nightmare approach?

The trailer for the next one has me a bit perplexed. The Fly its called and we see one that had come out of a caccoon like structure or literal staligtite type structure.

A little extra wonder for season 2: would they extend the story or would they have a similiar story line with different characters? Which in them infers that maybe the creatures from LV426 would be a universe all on its own because of how unique it is.
or will they prove that they are apart of LV426 (Alien)? That being said, wtf happened there that had them capture eggs, leave, and send out a warning signal? Will that be addressed?
Well we actually go back there?

that reminded me, there is the possibility that in the original movie, there could have been a ginormous engineer-hatched xenomorph wandering around. it could have even molted into a queen. but assuming that the nostromo crew had zero issues getting in or out, it either left the derelict ship or keeled over and died from age

I was never interested in what popped out of the old engineer, it doesnt seem like it stayed behind but then again, if it was thousands of years old, we have a time problem. I don’t think the series will solve that one. People want to desperately try to imagine this. probably not a real narrative there worth exploring. I mean the maginot people could have just been the ones who poked a hole through the engineer jockey platform too. Took an few eggs then got the hell out.
They probably saw exactly the same shit Kane saw and nothing more.

Episode 5 is some good old Alien themes.

would the eye melt if it breached the xeno skin?it is pretty intelligent. I wonder if it could sense the acid for blood

They probably had coordinates, the Yutani robot sent all the ship’s data to Yutani.

So I’m guessing Yutani sent another ship to LV426 to get more speciments.

What did the lady sprinkle onto the ground the browned powder? the moment i caught that, i thought i tmissed a plot point. i thought it had something to do with a superstution from the characters culture.
sadly, i’m dont think i picked up anything that alludes to why she did this (twice) in the episode.

Maybe a prediction: she might picked up a clue from a past experience during extracting one of the ‘monsters’ thats why she did that hoping that this method might prevent luring one of them too her. Maybe we might see an episode revisiting with her on a planet with this foreshadow?

the bald asian dude was realy cringy. I don’t want to see him again.

man tootles death was gnarly

The whole able to talk to aliens is so stupid. I was able to come around from some good parts but the fact robots can communicate telepathically is stupid. Alot of things i fan point out arw lame but the ahow itself is ok and as i said feels like aliens are only featured.

How the fuck is making/hearing noises/sounds telepathy? o.O
And if you are talking about Morrow and the kid, Morrow implanted a radio chip at the crash site. Kirsh is able to piggy back the communication, so, not telepathy, is radio. We have phones today that are able to place calls from anywhere in the world. TODAY. In a future with interstellar travel and spaceships hovering around like nothing, thinking radio communications would be inferior to what we have Today is pretty dumb

You’re talking about from morrow or kirch to the indian kid right?
Well why not? Comms are about distance. Hell we have ear buds that basically do the same thing. Around the world yes, we have apps.
What was on the show conveys the mystery of what was done, not the technology.
There is no need to explain that Morrow hacked something to talk to another person, and we can infer everyone on Kirshes team are on the same system. Its not magic as its not new.
end of your brain fap.

and from a Hybrid to an alien, only means Hybrids hear better than any human. Like dogs can hear and feel Hz that humans can’t (humans can only hear 20 -20k hz).
And its not explicit that they are ‘saying’ anything. They even knodded to humans not being able to hear, and that Wendy can. All she could probably be hearing is the mechanisms of the aliens body. nothing more or even sounds eminating from their bodies.

Telepathically cus its percieved as in thier head so not telwpathically in the literal sense

Humans TODAY are able to “communicate” with cockroaches, ants and other insects through the use of electronic impulses. Humans TODAY are able to use sound making acoustic devices to “communicate” with potential prey (Turkeys, deer, ducks, etc.).

The limitations of communication we have Today doesn’t mean that’s as far as we will ever get. Pretty sure 500 years ago someone saw a Turkey whistle and would think that was “magic” and burn you

and the most dangerous thing mankind could ever harness is not a xenomorph, its gravity or artificial gravity. Harness that and you can make a tennis ball seem as heavy as the moon. when you see it on shows that they have ships and they walk around normally and pour tea into a cup normally, then you must suspend all disbelief and just enjoy the story.

is not in their head. Kirsh can hear it. How the fuck do you suppose they make it? Using a fucking walkman? lmao

Dude we even have in-ear communication Today that without you noticing it, would look like “in your head”

Plus the kid does speak out loud, both of them do, is not like they are “thinking” what they want to say

Refer to my reply to jelou. You guys can explain it and all that but to me is stupid. Possible to to communicate like we do phones? sure, but still kinda lame imo.

um you mean actual “talk talk” of course thats lame. even if telepathically- which would be even lamer.
nobody said the xeno had a language. But interpreting squeeling or pain is possible for any animal like Jelou says.

The show never even mentions telepathy. and the people and machines were actually moving their mouth so you can at least infer that they require sound waves and a device to capture it.

Calm down lol although it may be a simple concept, its lame imo. Ive already said before i like the scifi aspects of the show so im not shitting on it im jus pointing out things that are lame in my opinion as there are alot of lil things that come across as stupid and are only like that to move the story or for certain things to happen later in the show.

Ive mentioned before, but not with you so ill give an example of somethin. The fact of it bein kids in adult robot bodies, if the show lays out that its kids (i know they said why they dont use adults) because they are more easily manipulated then im fine with it, as they kinda did in episode 4 if im not mistaken. Other than that i see no direct reason why it had to be kids and not adults? Again i know the reason the show said but im goin for why noah chose to do that, it could of been adults and it wouldnt have changed much. Its gonna be a lil harder to explain what i mean over typing but verbally would be able to tell you what i mean as far as conext and all that so im aware things may be lost in translation and thas ok, but im jus sharing my opinions

you haven’t watched much shows or movies have you? your comments just tells me you really belong to a demographic that hasn’t experienced or read much and if you do, you still don’t really get why you see or experience things.

demographics, marketing, age groups, tendancy for empathy, all these contribute why things are made. types that are casted.

probably because its fresher and they aren’t actually teens. The original kids are children and the cast are youthful but not actually young people. People are 20-30s casted as possibly teenagers but thats the effect of movie casting.
