I have not looked at the timeline closely, but I was under impression that evens of Prometheus, Covenant and last part of the trilogy were supposed to circle back to Alien. Part three was supposed to crash at the planet where Hadley’s Hope colony was established. But we never got part 3, so we dont know how it plays out.

So, this is going to be Alien multiverse. Lol. They don’t care, yet the opening scene pretty much copies Alien. The year is intentional, that scene is intentional.

Watched episode 3. Acting is so-so, but it is getting interesting on multiple fronts. Xenos are the price of admission; cyborg/synthetic are the show.

So basically using the “alien” to sell a cyborg/android show. Yea i dont really got much to say. Literally fell asleep during ep 3. To me the acting sucks so it doesnt pull me in.

I’ve got family asking if I’ve seen the show because they had trouble finishing the first episode and are not going to watch the rest. And these are the people who like the marvel movies when they see them in theaters.

It might be 50/50, but cyborgs/synthetics have a lot going on. I don’t mind. I liked episode 3 and I’ll probably like the rest of it.

I don’t know what you’re expecting but its more like your family thinks different about what Alien actual is. So rather than think its a your usual family fun day, think about what you watch solo, all the horror movies you watch by yourself probably aint the same family fun day shit you should be peddling with your folks.

Its not a video game and if you drag your famiily to watch Leatherface or evil dead they probably think you’re a queer for doing so. How about that fruit cake. I liked the EP3.

I also feel like the new baby Xeno is going to bite them in the ass.

The one that got killed was pretty much a killing machine so far, soldiers couldn’t do shit against it.

None in my opinion. Her brother is going to survive for sure. There’s no Wendy without him and so far she’s the main character.

Everyone was against sending them on a mission, not because they are kids, but because one synthetic is worth billions.

Youre probably right, but given this tech it is one way to control xenos. It would be a cruel move my Wayland, but his curiosity has no bounds.

It is the money, but you could also see the lady sleeping by Wendy. She might feel like they’re her kids.

You’re mixing stuff.

There’s several corporations competing against each other, Prodigy, Weyland, Yutani etc.
The goal is to achieve immortality.

Prodigy is the corp that owns Wendy and so on.
Yutani’s ship crashed in their city and the owner, child prodigy, took it cause he can and to show the middle finger to Yutani.

They tried to transfer adults consciousness into synthetics and that didn’t work, it worked with kids for some reason. They are not going to try that on an unknown alien speciment for sure.

Their goal isn’t controlling Xenos, it’s immortality. They don’t even know what Xenos are.
The story is set before the first Alien movie.

I did mix up Prodigy and Wayland.

For the mind transfer, I’m going off of the link that Wendy has with Xenos. If they were to do a transfer, that could be a factor. An adult mind (brother), might be more psych stable for something like this as opposed to a child. Prodigy is interested in immortality, but you also see how quickly the owner put his kids at risk for something interesting.
