Dead Space, The Callisto Protocol, and Negative Atmosphere

It’s a learning experience. Perhaps allows for more replayability

Ture but when you’ve explored almost every nook and cranny, got most of the collectables, and beat the game on the hardest difficulty on your first run replayability kinda drops off a little. Especially when some versions of the game have worse quality then other versions.

Surprisingly the PS5 version is the most unbroken version.

But I’d definitely know what gun I wouldn’t craft in another playthrough, when I do get around to playing it again.

You must be quite good at it. I’m watching one channel where the dude is kinda struggling and he’s pretty good at games otherwise. Though the controls seem to not be very responsive.

I keep finding it strange that some people are finding the game hard.

I think controls are a bit wonky on PC.

You think it’s possible to do a no damage run?

No
Because these a few scripted times were an enemy will grab and damage you.
Its unavoidable

Sure you could hand wave those moments away but the fact remains that you got damaged.

I see. Maybe speedruns then

A. Glitches that bypass cutscenes (theoretically of course)

B. No damage runs are about taking no damage during gameplay. Cutscenes don’t count.

These aren’t cutscenes they’re in game stuff

Like there is an enemy deliberately placed along your path you can’t get an angle at to shoot that will grab you.
This is one example

Most cutscenes you get a weapon or progress to a new area.

I haven’t seen a game yet that speedruns haven’t clocked.

Ah that’s a bit different

Still glitches and exploits

Hell given that it’s real time gameplay you could be able to RE dodge it somehow with the proper movement

Me neither. I don’t think I’ve een any game breaking skips or glitches too

You’d think so but you can’t dodge small monsters. You can kill a few of these auto grabbing enemies before they get you but these a handful of them that grab you before you can even lift you gun to aim.

But yes I’m sure glitches could be used but so far there not a lot of sequence breaking because there’s almost no backtracking.
I kind of wish there was some kind of backtracking like Resident Evil 2 or 8, could’ve extended the games length a bit.

Saw a vid by a no damage channel (carcinogenSDA) saying that it is possible with this game. The scripted damage can be avoided. Said that most people play the game wrong the first time through and have a bad experience, but once they realize how to play it correctly (less melee), it’s somewhat enjoyable.

Yeah
Everyone is definitely playing it wrong including me.

It’s interesting they’re saying it’s possible to actually avoid them.

My most recommended thing is don’t buy all the guns, only gun I can recommend buying is the Skunk pistol.

One specific sequence was mentioned where the enemy appears overhead when certain trigger is activated. There’s only a second or two to react, but you can grab it with kinesis and avoid the attack.

Yes, it’s probably good to have one gun for single encounters and one for crowd control. It seems like there are plenty ammo drops not engage in melee much. And there there’s always kinesis into spikes or explosive canisters. A vid will drop at some point.

Even though the melee can be quite frustrating to the player, it is kinda enjoyable to watch because each encounter is very tense. Although the game doesn’t feel like horror much, the tense atmosphere makes up for it, in my opinion.

Yeah combat feels tense but not the horror kind of tense. Also when you get the hang of the dodge you sometimes feel like ultra instinct Goku.
