Problem is that such things cannot always be said in mere two sentences. I mean technically yeah, when someone asks what is Socialism, I can say it boils down to, āYou deserve decent healthcare, livable wage, and a democratically managed workplaceā. Like that is the most basic layman bottom line sentence that Iām can manage. Even then, its oversimplifying which in itself is a disservice.
Itās also that since there is so much decades worth of misinformation about Socialism when talking about it that it has to become mandatory to explain so much shit at that point cuz otherwise you get everyone going āSocialism is when the government does stuff and when it does even more stuff, itās Communismā , which is a meme in itself.

Somehow i doubt that. I make so much money off of the neo-nazi chumps that itās borderline hypocritic to say i donāt like the idea of capitalism. And the boonies are actually pretty nice this time of year.
I mean I pay my bills by working 8 hours a day & only 4 days a week: like good old Teddy Roosevelt intended: and all I have to do is occasionally draw a dick & balls or pair of tits. Iād say Iāve won the system pretty well.

Funeral bills tend to do that, but nothing too bad. I mean everybody got a roof over their heads & there is always food in the fridge, so it beats moments of my childhood where we had neither. Beats slaving away in the Amazon Workhouse or the mind-numbing bullshit that was working Retail too.

What is ālivableā? I consider living wage to be enough for rent, food, transportation, but to some that might not be ālivingā if they donāt have enough for extra stuff. Letās say someone works in a physically intensive job and they make the ālivableā wage for them, but someone who is disabled canāt work much at all but they get a higher wage from what they can do because their cost of living is higher. Is that fair?
On the topic of healthcareā¦ do you know why the constitution protects certain rights or why those specific ones in the first and second amendment? Because they donāt require anyone else. To ādeserve decent healthcareā means someone has to provide it for you and someone has to pay for it if you donāt. Should an obese 400+ man deserve decent healthcare if he doesnāt try to lose weight or doesnāt care? I donāt think so and obesity increases health care costs because of all the complications and special machines needed to deal with all that fat.
Sure saying people deserve X or Y is a nice statement but it ignores reality and the costs required. If I think someone deserves some money or care then I should provide it of my own free will at my own cost ie voluntarily not forced by the government or other organizations to steal my money and incorrectly use it. If I donate directly to someone I know that 100% of my money or close to is going to that person. If the government steals it, how many middle men take their cut, administrative fees, government employee fees etc get taken out of that money before it reaches the person they say itās supposed to go to?

Iād say around an 8. 7.5 at the lowest. Iām making easy cash & not breaking my back stuck in a dead-end job. Iām my own boss. Iām constantly trying to improve & hone my craft & have big ambitions. I got a dog that loves me & who I raised from since he was 8 weeks old. Iām an important part of my familyās life & have been very supportive of my Nan since she lost one of her children, my oldest Uncle. Iāve made friendships that have lasted for decades & helped stop one of my friends from committing Suicide. Life may be a struggle at times but thatās kinda the point, I get out of bed each day regardless of whatever is gonna be a pain in the neck because if I donāt others around me might not be able to keep going themselves & they in turn give me a reason to keep working & living.
Gotta keep going, if not for yourself then for those who rely or look up to you. Good on ya mate

Exactly. I might not always be at my happiest but if I stop being here then life would get worse for a lot of people I care about & who care about me. Gotta keep those you care about in good spirits & health.

In past I, too, have talked people down from killing themselves (i used to be a psychotherapist before i discovered how much money can be made offa knives). Sure, they all decided to become criminals after that but itās fine lol

Iām a stubborn, blunt asshole. Not the most likeable person in the world, donāt try to be donāt wanna be. But I give a shit about my family & friends above all else no matter how much of a struggle life can become or if sometimes we donāt see eye to eye. Family looks out for family, same with friends. All of my life work is in the service of one day making sure those I care about never have to work & suffer like the rest of us. I became an uncle 2 years ago, and lost one of mine soon after, worked even harder for my nephew & to support my ageing Nan & schizophrenic other Uncle since.
