If you find the audio tape in game about that the tech may not be their own, and that they took it from another species, it explains why they don’t over to super tech. Also the description of The Alpha Predator on his origins with figure says they were enslaved by a more advanced race of alien, and when that species started to breed them for fighting it was there down fall. Alpha Predator being the strongest in secret lead the Yautja to freedom, by overthrowing the alien race. They won despite being low in number and not having advanced tech. They took the tech from their captors and adapted to their culture which is based now on the first Yautja who over threw them. Not sure if you know this already, sorry if it is just repeated info. This may be cannon now, with how Dutch being back in series in the game. I think before studio changed The Predator (2018) to a movie they thought everyone would like, there was a plan going on in the narrative of the Universe. Like how the Predator: Hunter comics were mentioning Stargazer and such, with NECA making this figure, and now the game mixing into the lore.
Black and Fred Dekker didn’t have anything to do with the endings shot, I think the studio thought of the endings, the suit and the others. Fred Dekker said they didn’t film that scene and was filmed by someone else. Original ending they shot before re shoots had no suit, and was going to have it where Assassin Predator took the kid due to he figure out how to work tech on the ship to kill the hybrid creatures, where they had self destruct collars. The ending was suppose to be they kill Assassin, and it was mostly likely invasion was on its way. The ending they wanted to make had Arnold, but theres that whole thing it seemed like the studio didn’t want him back maybe due to money, I mean there were talks of remaking the original film altogether.
No it’s not canon 2018 they are making another reboot, alpha it’s not a Yautja it’s a Hish it’s another branch

I am just saying, before changes happened with the last movie in Production, due to test screenings some people were confused, there may have been a more cohesive connection in the films, comic, and this game, before things got changed. Like how the Hunters comic was bringing in Stargazer, The film in its original version was mention a rogue clan upgrading dishonorably to attack humans, and this game filling in the gap between OWLF and Stargazer dealings over the years. Things mostly changed due to reshooting and studio telling the director to make something more “comfortable” for fans, aka being hunted one by one at night. That backfired. Also the lore might be in an odd place now with Disney owning the series, I know that EA had a hard time getting content into SWBF2 due to cannon issues, which may happen now with this series in general. I was just trying to see if there was a plan they had at Fox of trying to tell more of the Yautja lore with things likes the Alpha figure.
I mean I am iffy on the whole back story of Alpha, due to how it may affect lore now if it is cannon. If not seems odd NECA made this figure.
It’s canon just not related to the movie it’s about the Yautjas cousin plus no one likes to talk about the hish because they don’t even have female Predators they are sex changers! That’s why thanks to Illfonic and this game we got Yautja females WHEW! Btw hish female Predators look like male preds now tell me which one you would like in the forum I posted 😉

So we got like 3 species, in lore, with Yautja being the focus? Like what we seen in films.
Your logic is not sound. It takes the theory that the Yautja’s offical origin lays with the Alpha so therefore the preds geneticly alter themselves (though it makes way more sense that they don’t because they find the act disgusting as it ties back when they were just slaves) and because of that its not canon (even though preds geneticly altering themselves could be canon)

I was more asking if it was cannon, due to the whole being bred into fighting story that was with Alpha.

James Cameron is busy with Avatar 4 but might do a direct sequel to Predator 2 after that. Or a prequel about Hopper and his team.
