Why you ask? Because it ties in with the movie and also with the Predators lore like the Alpha, forcing us to think that these Aliens have been genetically enhancing themselves instead of being amazing hunters collecting trophies, so we all have wasted time and money on this game…according to @Noktrum

The movie does, not the game, the Alpha lore just says that the Amengi used PEDs on them, no citation of genetic alteration.
And the game actually tries to fix the mess The Predator made by stating they still hunts for sport. I would gladly trade the lore this game gave us, for what The Predator presented to us.

I like Dutch’s tapes, if they had of made a sequel or two honouring the tone of 1, could have been awesome. He’s way too old now…

Whatever story is best is cannon and this game is kicking ass now. There is no other product that has added to the Predator universe than this game… besides the Fleshlight Freaks Predator edition, which is now in stock. Not that I am into that sort of thing.
This thread, and the whole ‘treating game and toy company narratives as lore’ is ridiculous.
I enjoy the game, and don’t feel like I wasted money (despite its various frustrations), but I don’t consider it’s ‘story’ relevant or cannon.
If they ever make more movies you can bet they won’t be worrying about incorporating any of the BS Illfonic and Neca have come up with (thankfully).

Yes, but I belive some sees genetic alterations as a afront, while others don’t. I belive in a commentary, Shane said Assassin was a abomination among their species, and the writters of Predators said not all clans uses genetic alterations.
So if I had to guess, the entire Yautja species is on a war, those who wants genetic superiority(Berserkers/Supers and the ones from The Predator) and others that stays loyal to their traditions. If I’m not mistaken, the emissaries Predators were actually refugees from this “civil war”.
And god knows what Fugitive was in the original script, considering he killed humans and was really focused on taking the kujhad back, I like to belive he was a “spy” that took the hybridization tech used by the enemies, and was on a mission to deliver to his clan to show them what they were up against(the Predator killer never existed in the original script, only “The Ark”).
