Its difficult to tell if he is a hybrid, normally their ear-holes are covered by their dreadlocks anyway.
But as you can see, the holes the dreadlocks would normally be coming out of are missing on the sides.
Its such a weird choice.
Then again in this cinematic universe, predators have thin dreadlocks which I can’t say I am a fan of either.

You guys wanted a Predator protagonist, and I told you Hollywood would only do that if and only if, the Predator was a hero or anti-hero, not a villain.
You guys argued and now act surprised? Like for fucking real… you knew this, deep down you knew… you are just in denial, constantly. Is the same reason you keep buying PHG dlc’s even if you know 100% is going to be a shit class.
I’d rather have a non-protagonist predator and keep it as the terror antagonist.

Much better but i dont thin any sort of cgi or edits can fix this unless they literally crop in an actual predator head. Im seein alot of comments on the trailer saying “omg this is the stan winston design” and that legit irks the shit outta me especially those that say this is respecting the lore and fans…FACK YOU!!!

The next Predator movie will be a love story
Shit who know this might be the love story one with the humanization and all the other bs dan shared that they wanted to do. Even tho i was still hesitant on this movie as soon as “dek” popped up in the trailer it killed any slither of excitement that was left evwn if the concept of the movie is badass

tbh the first thing it reminded me was Avatar. It literally looks like a more humanized Yautja, with a similar “hairdo” like in avatar. And given the fact that in “the Predator” the premise was that Yautjas are using bio engineering to better themselves as a species, is a cliché that humans may be the “ultimate” species that Yautjas are looking to copy. Just like in Avatar, Jake was the ultimate Avatar/Human. It “perfectly” blended the best aspects of both species.

I can see that but i jus cant get over the design its terrible not to mention he gonna be smiling and now were gonna see yaujta family with father, son, and brother. Some may like that idea but i honestly hate that the predators mistique is gonna be gone they created a language that is either gonna be a hit or complete fail. Idk if the action gonna be able to save the movie at least with me.

at least Marvel is doing a realistic version in their comics(mostly based on the original 87 design esthetics) and they are having Predator kill the Marvel Universe as an actual title.

He wont. He already trashed winstons design which is why now all these predators from prey, killers (2 out of 3) and badlands are closer to dans base design rather than winstons. He changed it to what he thinks it should be, this isnt speculation these were his reasons and again after backlash with prey they cooked up that “backstory” to justify completely resdesigning everything about the predator with only keeping mandibles and “dreds” that look more like hair…this is “predator” now im tellin you mark my words were never gonna get another winston based design its all dans base design from here on out
Nope they changed it in the comics too at least with the new predator vs spider man -_-

thats whats wrong with this franchise. nobody asked for his shitty new ideas on how a predator should look. in my book, there is only the original design (JH87, crucified, CH97, and greyback) and the super predators, because they’re special
