Hey man I hate how HG is balanced because it doesn’t let us Pred Mains go in & fuck dudes up in melee, hate having to sit back with the Caster, Bow & Disc because that’s the only viable way against good players to play.
When they added the Katana I wanted to be able to go in & Judgement Cut dudes, like actually style on them. Swing the blade around to deflect bullets & get a heavy move where you basically teleport dash behind a FT and then the cuts appear on them. That’s how I want to play but the game ain’t built for it.
It was cathartic as fuck to see Feral just go in with melee and rarely use ranged. Its why City Hunter is cooler too.
The rest of feral design is great, but the face is just ugly and barely resembles a yautja.

Again, Predators chasing autism and a BigGER and BADder PrEDaToR…pls the film is not even close to that kind of trash, can’t convince me that isn’t the bottom of the barrel bullshit.
I mean he got shot in the head, which is a .50 bullet btw, of course he can’t be doing much clear thinking after taking a wound like that.

Im gonna be brutally honest with my opinion here, and keep in mind I’m just as big of a predator fan as you guys are. Would totally be ok with a movie thats just the predator killing everyone and surviving at the end.🤣
The first 2/3rds of this movie was genuinely entertaining for me. The writing between characters wasn’t great, in fact there were many moments between characters such as Naru and her clan members that felt unnatural or forced. A great example being the lead up to the fight scene between the predator and the comache hunting party, where the comache hunters just started beating Naru’s ass because she refused to follow them and gave the one guy a little backhand.
Other then that, the scenes with the predator 1v1ing the wildlife like the bear, and Naru wandering the woods was cool to watch. Seeing the predator’s brute force and ferocity paired with the simplicity and tranquility of the Naru scenes was nice and showed us almost a contrast between the two. This paired with the fight scene of the predator vs the Europeans was fucking sick to watch. Some kills and scenes with the predator looked off, such as scenes where the predator is sticking his neck out in front of his body so much while excessivly shrugging his shoulders up and down to try to show “tough guy breathing”. But all and all the majority of the movie was entertaining.
The last 1/3rd of the movie however is an entirely different story.
Where it started to take a turn for the worst in my opinion was the fight scene between the predator and Naru’s brother. The fact that this dude was able to actually fuck the predator up quite a bit in this fight really bothered me, especially after we just got done watching the predator take on a wolf, man handle a bear, destroy a Comanche hunting party, and rape a whole group of Europeans. After all that why would he struggle with this one Comanche hunter that was already in a weakened state from being totured by the Europeans? Honestly just didn’t like the whole fight, I would’ve bought it more if the brother AND Naru were tag teaming him with some gymnastic tomahawk shit.
And that face…Jesus christ…that fuckin face…
Whoever thought it was a good idea to CGI the fuck out of the face should get fired and black listed.
Whoever designed the face should be deported to Russia and put in a fuckin gulag.
Because that face was the most cartoonie and generic shit I’ve ever seen, to the point where when I caught a glimpse of it in the Naru’s brother fight scene I literally said “oh my god” in disappointment. That shit makes Mr. Black’s face reveal look like the “87” predator.
From the big cartoonie eyes to the odd, flat, and bulky forehead, it just looks more like a star trek monster then a predator. Why they decided to go the CGI route when literally every other live-action predator in all the movies had an actual animatronic face sculpt to wear is beyond me, and unfortunately ruins this predator design for me…which is unfortunate as I really liked everything else about it with the mask on.
Lastly the end fight scene is just plain garbage man, which sucks as logically it starts off pretty good. Naru ingesting that orange plant to hide her body heat and then shooting the predators head and stealing the bio mask made sense. Strategically taking away one of the predator’s advantages, and frankly crutches, made me
almost believe that they were gonna make the predator go out in a logical way and not like a bitch…yeeaaaaah about that…
The whole fight after this scene was trash. From the predator just walking around UNCLOAKED and getting pounced on by Naru, to Naru just ripping of a mandible like she’s got super strength and stabbing the predator with it, to Naru being able to wrap rope around the predator like she’s black widow fighting a goon, to the predator killing himself with a his own weapon that he’s used a thousand times…ugghh😓.
I would’ve bought the predator accidently killing himself with his own weaponry, I mean his own technology should be able to fuck him up. But him shooting an arrow and then staring at his mask, the only thing that fucking guides those things, for like ten solid seconds and tilting his head at it like a dumb puppy is absolutely asinine. You’re telling me that the predator wouldn’t see the lasers pointing at him after shooting his arrows and immediately go “OH SHIT” and attempt to duck? Nah, guess the predators were still in their neanderthal stage at this time.
Edit a day later: I forgot to mention the flintlock pistol. To put it simply its a dumb and unnecessary retcon. Having the elder predator, when he was younger, team up with a pirate captain who has too much of a heart of gold and both forced to fight the rest of the pirate crew is alot cooler then some dude whining about his leg and going out like a bitch by the predator. Granted that’d be 100% me in reality if I got my leg cut off, its a very wimpy origin story of the pistol compared to the comic.
There ya go, after typing for like half an hour, that’s my review. I’m honestly disappointed with the last act of the movie, but the first 2/3rds of it I liked. However I wouldn’t say that this movie is “the best predator movie since Arnie!” or whatever all the content creators and media outlets are spewing out of their mouths to hype it up. If you’re a predator fan and want an entertaining film that is better then 2018’s “The Predator” then I absolutely recommend it, however don’t go in thinking that its gonna do the license justice or out do the original movie…because it doesn’t.

I think the biggest travesty that comes from this movie is us PHG players, who really wish they could drop in a FT and wreck shit with melee and be all badass, but the truth is this game will never let us live out our Predator fantasy.

Actually given the attitude some of the Comanche showed torqards her earlier in the film showed she wasn’t liked alot.
I haven’t seen the English version yet as I wanted the more immersive Comanche dub that sells the whole thing, especially since the trappers speak in French which is why I ask do the Frenchies speak English in the English version? Because one huge annoyance is that we got no subs for them when they speak French. Wanted to know what they were saying.

Goddammit…well I’m all about ambiguity but for this time I wasn’t on board with that one. I was curious to hear how did they know of the Predator’s existence, giving that they were planning to capture it? Like how did they get the blood and even know about what it looks like or what it even does? Wish they said something about how it hunted their scouts and found their bodies skinned hanging from trees.
Which btw, there is a lack of skinned bodies hanging from trees and human skulls being removed in the film, a huge letdown on that front.
not woke, but it didn’t sell me on the female warrior aspect, she should be more fit or rugged, she looks like she binges netflix or something. shes not even toned. she is skilled because her brother taught her? well fine but there is still a huge gap between that and an actual warrior with time and experience. I can’t get past the axe rope thing either… sooo bad. even if she is great at axe throwing, suddenly just whipping it back and forth with ease, no mess-ups… that would take years to learn. they should have just made her awesome at throwing axes and left it at that. i also can’t imagine anyone actually squaring off against a lion while up on a tree branch.
I didn’t realize this was a documentary about real life and not a movie about a 8ft tall super advanced alien…

The universe still runs on logic. If the movie wants to establish changes to physics that’s fine but predator never has aside from some questionable biology and metals. But human biology hasn’t changed.
