Wolf is a total badass, and the only reason I’ll watch AVPR.

The Predators in AVP are what I watch it for, and the fight scenes are really good. I love the scene at the end when the Predator leap-spins and drives the spear into the Queen Aliens head, such a sick move! And the Elder Predator scene, even though it’s a rip off of the end scene of Predator 2, was awesome.

And it’s always great to see Lance (Bishop/Wetland) in these movies. He and Bill Paxton are the only two to have been killed by a Terminator, Predator and Alien😊

You mean the Assassin “Predator”? The one that is basically a bio-nano-molecular enhanced Yautja, with zero explaination, set up other than it’s just a GMO Yautja overdosing on human DNA, which is the reason for the spine and trophy removal NOT because they’re trophy hunters?? Nah, that’s not right…ever.

Plus, I lowkey hate whenever people ask for Predator 2 themes, despite the fact that this is a Predator 1 themed game, but when someone brings up “hey, maybe we could use Predator weapons from Weapon Lockers cause something like that happened in Pred 2” or some shit, people go ape shit because “That reminds me of The Predator, get shit on.”

Humans utilizing Predator Technology/Weaponry has happened as far back as Predator 2. It happened in Predators, happens in The Predator
(bleh). It happens in comics and games. Hell, it was the actual plot behind the Concrete Jungle Game, which is unanimously regarded as best Predator Story.

Rant over, but for the actual topic? Make Predator Weaponry a Rare Drop from Stargazer Weapon Lockers, like say Handheld Plasma Caster with just the 6 “rounds” and you’re good to go for bit.

They ain’t the greatest but they were enjoyable and seemed to at least respect lore a little or make an interesting attempt. They clearly have their faults but they also didn’t change the predators nature or the aliens.

Because of Shane Black the predators are going after conquered foes for their DNA so they can improve themselves by taking the DNA of the prey that they beat rendering their entire new plan useless but maybe if they get their hands on Hollywood autism it may work.

Indeed, but I think people just kinda have to respect that both movies are still canon. Yea the series is said to be up to interpretation a lot of the time, but with this game is going, you can’t have Stargazer being in Hunting Grounds while not having The Predator. I don’t like The Predator, doesn’t mean that Illfonic can’t try to put a concept from it to good use like the comics have.

No, it’s set after Predator 2. City Hunter is already in the game files. The vibe is Predator 1, for sure. But the narrative is set after Predator 2 and follows on from the events of that movie+novel.

I love what illfonic have done, they brought Dutch back and even impressed Arnold enough to be a part of it. They’ve shown great respect when it comes to the narrative elements of the game, but they’ve made a mess of the actual game itself.

How would it be set after Pred 2 if the events transpired in The Predator are mentioned by Dutch himself in The Dutch Tapes?

Yeah, I keep trying to forget about Predator 2018 but Stargazer does get mentioned in the tapes. What I was trying to say was it’s vibe is totally about recreating the feeling that we are in the original movie but narratively speaking, it’s set after Predator 2 and includes some of the elements of 2018 which I think they did as an Olive Branch moment to reunite the fans who were divided about that movie…if that makes sense.

The official prequel novel starts immediately following the events of Predator 2.

July 17th better have a fucking map, or no money from me. I don’t need another class or skin or weapon, I’m sick of them tbh Either new map/s, and some new missions or they can forget anymore money from a lot of the community. Alot of my group have stopped playing now until we get maps or missions, I can’t stop playing because I’m a Predator addict and this is the first Predator game I’ve played since the original ZX Spectrum game back in the 80s. I missed out on the AVP games unfortunately…
