Nobody would have predicted this tho. The people who though it was dead had very good statistical odds on their side. This type of stuff happens once in a blue moon.
Well, statistics are wrong in a very large portion, scientifically speaking.
And so was every nagging peer.
No they are not. Vegas and betting services always win. Statistics is almost never wrong. Except for the weatherfolks
Do a simple Google search about how wrong they are and you can shove statistics up your alley.
I’m looking at profit margins. That tells me that are more often correct. Almost every predictive industry is based on statistics. If they were so wrong the industry would fail or would stop using them
Do you think nasa abs space x don’t use statistics all the time? What about investment firms? Most every big business for that matter. Everything that has to do with medications and medical profession.
They use research and concrete data.
Which is based on statistics. Confidence intervals, calculation of error, uncertainty, standard decision, etc.
