Not quite. Just this one…
Issues with Prey
The camera is there so when the predator dies he can say post the losses too!
We will look at the tape and be like hey he beat a lot of squads before he got solo’d.
And on the tape you can see Narus last man standing buffing increases her abilities by 1000% to even the playing field.
Oh yeah, the mandible thing was pretty goofy.
As it should be however it fits my point so I will allow it because it benefits me 😎
It’s quite simple, they took a lot of the mcguffin flowers.
Enzymes work through chemichal reactions in blood cells. If the cells are dead we can assume with a significant level of certain that luciferin won’t be present after the blood is out of the organism.
The questions here are how long can the blood cells survive outside the body? And in which conditions?
Knowing that the Pred likes to hunt in hot environments, can we assume his body functions can be compared to a reptile? If so, we know that reptilian hematology varies from specie to specie and none has luciferase proteins in their blood.
unless of course…
All it needs is exposure to oxygen. Depending oh how the cells died, enzymes can be preserved and reaction will still happen. It it’s lysis, as opposed to apoptosis, the enzymes and protein should still be intact.
@TheSenate, what do you think? You possible took some biochem/physiology classes
I would’ve preferred if the predator just stood its ground and beat Taabe in a fair 1v1 instead of turning its cloak back on like a coward.
Naru deserves some credit though. She did outsmart the predator and use it’s own helmet against it. I thought that was cool.
Oh okay, I didn’t know that. I thought predators being honourable was a major part of the lore.
And for some reason it is - despite the fact the first two movies, written by Thomas bros are not showing that at all
You’re forgetting the fact that the enzymes (and all known protein) need a chemical reaction, if the blood cell dies, there’s no more chemichal reaction. Unless of course, there’s also bacterya present in the blood. But in that case, we’re opening a new book filled with more doubts because we don’t know how they would react to Earth environment.
Not really, no.
We’re talking about luciferase, a protein that we know how it works and what it needs.
What you probably mean is that could not be luciferase and could be another thing with different proprieties but with the same behaviour. But luciferase will be luciferase wherever it is.
Expanded universe mostly non canon lore.
Lemme get off work & I’ll see what I can do. I did take bio chemistry as well as many cellular biology classes.
Agreed. There needs to be a medium for all of this to happen in. I’m not too familiar about specifics tho so let’s wait for @TheSenate’s take.
There might also be a need for ATP or other substrates which would be harder if not impossible to make this work in a dead cell.
So yeah, it may happen initially, though still unlikely, but it should not last.
srsly
JH gets grazed and heals up, CH doesnt just jump in blindly swinging at the slaughterhouse. They’re portrayed as having a brain and understanding slight mistakes and injuries can mess them up so they do everything right on their end until they get ambushed because its a h u n t.
This guy just brawls despite being terrible at it and gets all kinds of fucked up and thats before people start peircing the entirety of his body with spears and arrows & he just never learns since he’s a braindead walking kebab. The smartest thing he did the whole movie was run away from the guy styling on him with a stick.
literally the only thing that didnt injure him was a SNAKE
“literally the only thing that didnt injure him was a SNAKE”
Unfortunately that’s inaccurate. In a deleted scene he cut himself while taking its spine, but it was cut for runtime. Dan T personally confirmed to me that even though it was cut, it is still canon. Totally legit, absolutely unquestionably true.
His approach is questionable, but it’s not his first rodeo and I’d say that injury is acceptable if he comes out on top in the end. He wins with some skill, some durability. Brother was skilled so I’ll give him that. Also i think it makes some sense that Naru is not the only one able to defeat him. For the most part, Feral used his brawn. This fits with his fighting style. Naru outsmarted him, which is kinda fair cause he definitely shouldn’t be able to stand up to him physically.
Also i think Feral will pretty much one shot anybody who he touches, except maybe the bear. That’s why brother and Naru and basically unharmed for the fight and when brother is nicked, its a deathblow.
Only thing humans had on Feral was speed (brother) and intellect (Naru)
Its all durability he’s just Upgrade again
One of his first encounters is standing infront of a firing line and taking an arrow straight to the chest
As as he comes out standing on the end it’s a win. Not typical pred, but I’m sure it’s intimidating when you give him best shot and he goes ‘is that it?’. Different type of fear, as opposed to the cloak, which wasn’t really doing it this time around.
