Issues with Prey

There was literally a trail of blood showing that he had crawled not too long ago

If being dead was all that itntook to arouse suspicion, he would of checked every corpse.

Actually preds don’t have native heat vision. That’s just the mask.

However their real vision is still limiting and he was shot in the head. He was literally brain dead.

OMG… its the officail lore from DC books! Check out original DC Aliens vs Predator book, or even the novel mentiones this

Official Predator 2 book also has Harrigan saying the air on board their shiop is toxic and burns his lugns

I was only kidding bud - I love this movie ;-) Its now canon to me

Another thing that doesn’t make any sense is that plant with blood coolling effects. Cool enough to not show in the Pred thermal vision. Blood that cold would clot and the person would die.

Stop you’re hurting these peoples ears with reality.

Here you go

The final battle was kinda whack. There no defending it. It was for show.

A placebo that affects the Pred thermal vision???

yes, you must ask @Naru about the true effects.

Want another?
Predator with fluorescent blood.
Fluorescence occurs when something absorbs light or electromagnetic radiation.
That leaves us to 2 possibilities:

  1. The blood is already fluorescent inside the body
    A) No light inside the pred’s body.
    B) Electromagnetic radiation would affect Pred’s gear (p.e. plasma cannon) and Earth devices.
None of the 2 options above happens.
  2. The blood gets fluorescent when the Pred bleeds.
    A) It would only get fluorescent during the day.
    B) Eectromagnetic radiation was present in any scenes the Pred bleed.
None of the 2 options above happens.

right, not native heat vision, i checked P1 where he takes the mask off and you see the transition from heat to normal vision, and he is still able to track and fight, he is not effectively blind. he didn’t see dutch in P1 because he was hidden in all the brush as well so he couldn’t pick him out. if he was standing there upright he would have been seen

even with some stupid blood cooling plant, she was standing next to the fire, where heat would be radiating and bouncing off her, making her visible in heat vision, and still she is able to just stand there and shoot him in the head. it would make sense if she used it to help camo herself, and used cover to hide and sneak up on him, not just standing there in the open

i don’t buy the brain dead thing, he was looking down examining the head he just cut off, the shot seemed to barely glance the top-back of the pred’s head, looked like it just knocked the mask off, it didn’t go through brain matter, he just seemed angry afterwards, no way he his literally brain dead, that would have been the end right there

No stop reality is painful.

Sounds like he was brain dead long before he got shot lol

No. Here’s another one.
Predator 2010.
The humans are on another planet that has a huge god damn moon. Being on another planet (bigger than Earth) it’s enough but add to that a moon that big or close to the planet, it’s more than enough to desintegrate a human body due to it’s different gravity or, at least, male them move and jump slower than on Earth. Also it’s magnetic field for sure it’s way different from Earth’s and it would affect the human brain electric impulses and the atmosphere wpuld be so different that would lead in different oxygen atoms composition making it impossible for humans to breathe.

More?
Plasma shoulder cannon.
Plasma is formed by supplying energy to a gas. Where are the Pred’s energy cells and where is the gas stored is his gear?

No more, I want to be able to enjoy these movies without thinking about how realistic they are.

The only thing I didn’t like is how the predator turned its cloak back on when it was fighting Naru’s brother. I thought that was kinda cheap and cowardly for the predator to do that during a fight.
