If this was the case, i think there would be some Intel that Russians were involved. This would probably be a huge incident and not a hush hush alien story. Plus, Anna would say that this happened before (her grandma would tell of their men being skinned and mutilated). I wonder if all of this could be tied up, even loosely, to Russians. Let’s say they had cloak tech and were using or testing it.

Dylatov pass incident comes to mind , I’m sure it was in or near Russia and it was considered a mystery of hikers being found and had traces of radiation. Aliens or government were the popular theories.
