Illfonic seems committed to fitting its game into the ongoing canon, which means only adding characters that survived, or ones of their own. Personally, I’m in favour of this, as I’d rather see the lore expanded than retreading old ground.

It makes little sense to limit yourself in a business that is tied to an IP with a vast amount of characters to play with
