How many times do I have to repeat to you that it would be AN OPTION, NOT FORCED. You would STILL HAVE the OLD RNG and IN GAME CURRENCY SYSTEM. For those who do not have time to earn enough in game cash through gameplay for the things they want would be a fair option and those who do not want to dish out real money can continue grinding if they have the time for it.
I do not understand their logic behind not releasing it. Why make the first, most iconic predator pre order exclusive only in a game that is about THE PREDATOR.
Does Illfonic think that this will bring more people to the game or keep them playing? How, by making them grind RNG boxes with the hopes of maybe getting the mask just to imitate him? People see how beyond rare it is to get it, most mature people will not waste their lives to grind a game 24/7 for years to MAYBE get an iconic mask for an iconic character.

Absolutely. Maybe having an exclusive cosmetic for the Jungle Hunter or a variant battle damaged skin would have been cool as a preorder exclusive, but not the entire “Jungle Hunter” class. In my opinion, that was an extremely poor decision.
I can literally get on HG for you rn and show you how you can make close to 10k VT in 15 minutes.
That is enough to buy a Exotic thing like a Pred Mask, or a Mask Shader, a Skin type or Shader, or a FT thing that costs that much.
You can make on average 2k to 3.5k or above VT a match if you look for it on Private Matches.
Do this for about a hour and a half and you’ll have enough for a Mythical item.
Sure you can grind VT in Daily or Weekly Missions, but that’s if you can do em.
To go back on your comment, it legit does not matter if it is optional or not. It is a predatory business practice meant for suckers to pour money into. You want the skip the “money grind” of earning enough to buy that thing you wanted? Yikes man. Yikes.
It takes 15 minutes or less for a whole PHG Match to play out. You can do like two Private Matches of Money searching for a day and earn more money than you did playing that one PHG Match in Public Queue.

Would be the same system in play with Fortnite V bucks. You earn those in the battle pass and can redeem them.

Why do you care if someone buys a cosmetic with real money that impacts the game in 0 ways? If you want continue your grindfest, you’re not forced to buy them with real money (if they had the option).

Yes I want this option. Not all of us know every trick in the book on how to earn in game currency fast and not all of us have all the time in the world for the grind. It is not as easy as you say it is when you have little time for gaming.

That’s basically what I’m asking from Illfonic.
I would want a Free Battle Pass System that requires little, to no monetization. Like Halo Infinite is doing. Battle Pass is on your time, no artificial scarcity of exclusive items that way, when you want to switch Pass Sessions you can do so right ahead. Perfect. Chef Kiss.

I agree in that I would just continue to grind the VT in game. However adding the ability to buy it for people that choose too, I don’t see why that would be a problem.
It would make the consumer happy and Illfonic would make revenue based on the sales.
