I suppose it’s because you’re playing on PS4? Epic can see your account via their backend. But if you’re on PS4 there’s nothing they can do other than direct you to them.
Pre-Purchase Content Unavailable, PC, Epic Store
i play on the pc, I, only play station I ever owned is a play station 1 (still got some working tony hawk games heh)
So, you pre-purchase and play on your personal computer.
In that case please contact epic store again and count the following:
You made the purchase and pre-order, when they announced the contents of the deluxe edition you made a refund to purchase that edition, so you could not buy it due to a store error if it already had the normal edition.
You are eligible to activate the pre-purchase bonus on your account.
Then Epic games is your guy my guy

@hivewars why would I need to do that? the deluxe cost more than the pre purchase and I honestly just wanted the 87 skin and I guess the minigun. I preloaded the game before release with the content in mind of pre order
That way if you insist they will help you and give you the pre-purchase bonus.
In my case, make the pre-purchase, ask for a refund, buy the deluxe edition, make a refund (because epic games only made excuses)
On day 7 I made the purchase of the standard edition when they saw that they were delivering the reservation bonuses, on day 8 an epic agent contacted me, told me that he could not reimburse the standard edition for playing more than 2 hours but that he could deliver the Bonus when reviewing my account and seeing that I pre-purchase.
That same day I bought the deluxe edition and today that same agent answered me.
I make a refund of the standard edition and give myself the bonus.
Result: I have received my money, I have the deluxe edition and I have access to the pre-purchase voucher.
It was a long battle until I had it, but as you can see it was not easy either and I have bought and returned the game on several occasions and still they have given me the bonus. Because if you have made the pre-purchase you ARE entitled to it.

I recommend waiting 1/2 days to see if you get a response otherwise send an email to Epic again to let them know that you are still there and are still waiting for that help.
Please note that with hivewars proof its Epic games issue so if you wanna send hate send it to them
I think the Epic Store system is responding as quickly as possible to emails received and clearly it is easier to get rid of the problems and send users to Play Station or Illfonic but it should be them who ultimately activate that content in your Epic account, finally everything depends on the Epic store so you must insist.
They also sent me a message saying to speak to the play station support and I am a PC player …
I’m still waiting to hear. The response I got wasn’t helpful at all.
