I’ve reach a point in my life where I honestly hate it when people go “they could have done this better”… I respect a producer’s/director’s/screenwriter’s artwork, as it is their creative work done under the strict rules and budgets imposed by an employer who will ruin the rest of your career if your work doesn’t deliver the numbers you were paid to deliver.
It is what it is. So far, so good. Everyone will always dislike something. I was there at some point too, but I’ve just grown tired of the bitterness it brings to be complaining about something always and striving for a non-existent perfection and improvement.

IMO, the only Disney film ever done to near-perfection for a “general audience” was TRON: Legacy, and I’ll double-down on this.

I’m watching Tron: Ares tonight. I downloaded it a few days ago but haven’t had the time to sit down and watch it. Based on the reviews doesn’t seem like is gonna be bad, but also not great. Plus I don’t like Leto’s acting in any movie, so we’ll see

I’m believe you, when you say Dek and his mask are cool, and I’m not entirely criticizing the film. I’m tryna point out it’s expected to have bad reviews, bc most of us are too familiar with almost two generations of absolute badassery from previous films.

NGL, after Shane Black’s shitshow and illfonic, the franchise fanbase is screaming for better discernment on production teams in film and gaming. Simply put, we deserve better than what’s been handed to us lately.
