Predator class stat discrepency
I brought this up numerous times. Each category should be dropped by one. This would balance it out much better. The Hunter is the “Jack of all trades” but shouldn’t be strong in each category, only average since it’s not a “specialist”. The other classes take huge hits in some categories because of their specialization.
I think what they are going for here is:
Hunter - most points in basic stats and good perk, nothing passive.
Scout / Berserker - less basic stat points and passive energy consumption/melee damage/movement and stamina tweaks.
The others no idea I do not have them unlocked/purchased.
Not saying this system is working, but however they weigh these things on their internal scale must come out to be equal on someone’s radar. We have to hope at least.
keep in the stats listed are
HP
Stamina
Movespeed
Gear
perks
what isn’t listed is energy, damage bonus’s and reductions (which hunter also has for some reason?), and regeneration which i do know scout has bonus stam regen but i wouldn’t say thats worth the 2 blocks of stats he is missing when i can just take a perk to solve that problem on a hunter and it only costs 3 perk points to do so
I agree and I think many other do as well. The current system (as you just laid out in detail) is not the best nor is it producing equally viable Predators.
I laid out a similar thing while talking about FT point distribution.
What I’d like to do is have it structured like a role playing game so eventually we could build our own classes. Doing so for the Yautja would be cool too.
15 points divided by 5 categories. With each perk or gear point translating to 3 spendable points. So if you have gear 2, you get 6 gear points. If you have 4 perk, you get 12 points.
Here’s the link…
This is why i asked for them to give us actual class attritbutes same as fireteam has where it shows mud lasts longer and shit like that xD.
I’ve also mentioned this several times already. The stats should be equalized. Hunter and Elder are the currently superior Preds. SamPred and 'Zerker are generally easy to take down, unless they spam the netgun at every oppertunity… And Scout, unless played by a really good player, is just an instadown… generally dont face many Scouts though, since only good Predator players would be insane enough to choose a class that is less tanky than a Heavy Armor NPC.
And for the most part, I find 95%+ of Preds I face as FT to be easy wins… even when considering that I usually get 1 or 2 players on the team that seem to be oblivious to the Pred being nearby and barely shoot at it… if I am lucky those players are good bait.
Bumping now that illfonic isn’t on break
They’re closed this entire week, according to the announcement.
Work dammit!
Jesus this week too? Fuck that’s a 14 day mandatory vacation must be nice
Hell… I aint going on vacay until Cyberpunk 2077 comes out.
Probably just means they were ahead of the production schedule. That said, I’m not entirely sure when the week started or ends.
Enjoy your break illfonic, I hope you all come back to work refreshed and ready to get those new maps/modes up and running.
Can I just get this out there. NOTHING should be HIDDEN. These hidden passives are absolutely ridiculous.
Its bad enough we don’t really know what half the perks actually do!
true or that like 2 of them don’t actually work in the predators case lol
fun fact the directional audio perk and the fast hands perk don’t actually work
elder can parkour better than hunter… thats about it… doesnt matter when FT turns down setting all the way… makes parkour system useless
What’s the directional audio perk? Oh do you mean making sound bubbles bigger?
yeah
I’m really not that sure if those bars even resemble the class stats reliably. I always thought games that use such things are just giving out an easy way to determine the differences.
