Subs have always been that way, but hardly anyone uses them so they havnt really gotten much attention. I will say subs feel much more deadly up close against a pred than a shotgun. I was getting like 15 xp per bullet, 20 xp with yajutas bane, with the UMP 45 or whatever thier name is for it, the last SMG you unlock.

In use against AI’s subs have always felt weak af to me in this game, hence why I haven’t bothered to use them on Preds. Seems like another imbalance as anything that is effective against the Predator should be quite effective against AI enemies

im fine with spotting the pred moving, climbing and all the rest. But if he is still and 100% invis, spot should not work at all no matter if you point it at him and KNOW hes there, it still should not spot it. They can put the eye icon on the general area sure, thats fine. but spotting something invisible isnt spotting its guessing.
There is also the issue that a lot of good teams dont even need to spot they just shoot first and spot after, they know where you are becuase of the sound.
Predators stealth needs working on so he can close the distance without being ranged down so easily.
Not make him totally invisible all the time and 100% silent, that would be too much. but between that and where we are now there is a much better balance to be had.

i think it’s worth mentioning that most youtubers clickbait like a mother fucker, and only post the best games that they’ve played. i’ve been playing and spectating games since the beta and i haven’t come across any instances where the ground slam was an issue lol
as for the ground slam itself, i can’t even think of a single time where it’s been used on me to any effect. i see preds trying it out but it’s never been an issue in any of my games. i’ve maybe caught a bit of the blind, but it’s not enough to mess me up at all or change the tide of a match.
the only time it would really work is if you had a bad ft that was super close together and completely unaware of the pred, or if, again, they were too close while they were fighting some ai and you surprised them. i don’t really think that opportunity really presents itself very often at all though. it can work from time to time, but i wouldn’t say it’s anywhere near being op or even that effective against most players now.

Yeah, I definitely see this as exploitative. It needs tweaked for sure. But I think removing the mechanic entirely is not the way to go. The Pred is already extremely limited in his ability to break up a fireteam. I’d hate for them to remove one of his best tools.
Somewhere here in the forum a person posted damage videos and subs are in a real good ttk spot just as good almost as the side by side pump action shotgun my dude give it a peak it was eye opening as to what’s useless and what’s useful

100% with you. I think cloak from AVP 2010 and noise level was dead perfect
I can see how to easily counter this if you play smart. Pred is vulnerable for a good amount of time after landing. As long as the team is paying attention, not grouping too tightly but staying within eyesight, they should be able to light the Pred up pretty bad after he lands.

I just hate his commentary and generic copy paste generic formats. The thumbnails and commentary is like the wanna be youtuber starter kit. I know I’m being harsh but it seriously is like an extreme allergic reaction when I see ppl like that in how annoyed I get.

Never knew this channel existed before PHG. He was one of the first guy I legit enjoyed watching play as the predator. I know this kind of gameplay is trashy, but still, it’s a good thing that people like him use their channels to flag some exploits like that.
It’s also a good thing that guys like him test some perks combo and weapons as well. That way, you won’t get cheesed by these exploits for too long.

After doing some testing with the leap slam I’ve discovered that it doesn’t even do a set amount of numeric damage, it deals a percentage. A high percentage. Talking well over 50% of total health. When I run the numbers again I’ll be able to get a definitive amount. Right now it’s looking like 66.3% of max health
