I have i7, 8 GB RAM, AMD RX 5700, 1920x1080@144. Only setting which affect significantly performance is shadows. I have nothing in Windows, only Chrome, OBS, Epic and PH:G.

I read somewhere that AMD actually released drivers optimized for this game, where Nvidia has not. I wonder if that makes a significant difference.

I don’t know… AMD drivers are strange, they have some self tuning features so it may be why it run OK. On the other hand they are randomly unstable, one day they crash and mess up all graphics so you have to reset, second day they are stable and other day they crash 3 times in a row with Windows message that they stop responding. I bought AMD only because they were supposed to run better in virtualized enviroment but now I would go for nVidia.

sounds like a nightmare

Yeah. Big difference between barely being perceivable and actually benefiting from the “smoothness” of the motion. That’s the point I was trying to make.

More frames are not going to help you in PHG, unless you’re losing track of the predator at whatever your current frames are. 30 is too low. It puts PS4 players at a disadvantage against predators that are cloaked and leap spam. Against 60 frames or higher, you can see the direction of the leap easily and punish when they land, or in the air if your aim is good enough.

I think 30 fps is just fine

So long as a single frame isn’t dropped

if you enjoy a “film look” in your games, that is

Which I do

Granted 60 is preferred

I no I totally get it. If PHG wasn’t an FPS I would definitely play at 30 with the film grain and everything.

For pred I have considered and tried it, but the game is so fast paced that I just can’t react the same way. and I’m a shitty pred, I need all the aid I can get

more frames, along with quicker response displays will help you in any FPS game. That is a fact established by a long line of professional players. Is not up for debate. It is the documented performance tests of players vs the opinion of some random internet console player.

Sorry man, not trying to undermine you but if you try to validate your opinion over proven facts well… you’re kinda looking for it to happen.

🤷‍♂️

That is a video that unless you have a 120 hz display with a 120hz device playing on it, you wont see any difference.

It also doesn’t prove anything because is not gameplay test.

But here’s a long video for you to watch and learn

@SkooLBoY_SkePtiK come on bro, I would assume you’re a lot smarter than this.

If you have a 60hz display, you will get absolutely no advantage by running 1000 frames if you could because the display will only output 60 frames and discard the rest.

The whole “more fps” is only valid if your screen can actually output them

Didn’t even know YT had a framerate cap… Laughable

YT also only has stereo sound, but some people think those surround sound samples on YouTube are actually surround sound lol

Even TVs marketed at 120hz are bullshit as the HDMI input only supports up to 60Hz signal. So there is no device capable of pushing 120Hz if the TV itself limits it

Can you supply me with a legit 120fps video?

In slow motion there seemed to be a difference, so I figured those comments were trolls.
