slam...

I have had many FT do something like this, but usually they mud one up and send them for the reinforce while the other two stay and distract me.

If the reinforce is successful, they are 4 strong again, even if I get the ones running the distraction.

If I happen to spot the one heading off to reinforce then things get more interesting.

Yeah at that point it’s just being baited to a downed FT member. They either need to crawl out of the building or you treat it like they’re bear trapped or the pred’s hovering the revive and leave them.

What a false equivalence. Fireteams can’t leap halfway across the map in three to four bounds. They also can’t cloak and stand still to be totally imperceptible or throw bear traps to protect themselves or any other number of things that the Predator is capable of to allow him to escape or break LOS. They have buildings, that’s it. It doesn’t take as long for then to heal but, unlike their weapons to the Predator, they can easily be double tapped as well. The trade off for faster healing and more heals is they they can be killed much more quickly. So what do you expect

I am well aware of the bait.

We had already used reinforcements.

I feel it is an exploit if the predator can down and finish the game without actually facing the fireteam directly.

I was also once not inside of the building that got slammed, but below said building (would have been 2 stories). My 2 fireteam members got downed inside the building and I was downed underneath the building…

This is an exploit and lik I said before, shouldnt be the deciding factor to the game.

Heavily damage fireteam and malfunction weapons to allow pred to charge? SURE!

ENDGAME hell no…

If you get caught healing as a Predator maybe you just got unlucky and got that stamina glitch but otherwise it was entirely your own sheer stupidly because it is so easy to disengage any Fireteam and be able to safely heal that it’s not even an obstacle for anyone that has any idea what they are doing.

that’s not really an exploit tho lol… it’s like getting shredded by a 4 lmg stack… should I call that an exploit?

Yeah I could totally see that then. I don’t know about the huge waves entirely myself unless for specific missions but even then I am hesitant because having tons of AI coming at you plus a Predator night be a bit much. Sometimes, albeit rarely, those AI laser the shit out of you. I had a match where two AI came up on me, first missed every shot and the second just fucking hosed me for half my health (Recon though so) and I about had a fucking fit XD

It’s like a single lmg clip from a single person in this asymmetrical can down a zerk or something. And the TTK for pred is two seconds if he’s being focus fired. And zerk’s aren’t even the one’s with the shorter overload times, ā€œsuper op leap spam scoutā€ has a fraction of his hp. Gee I wonder why the power role can leap far away to heal & the FT has to play objectives.

Another false equivalence. So you are comparing standard gunfire to hitting through walls now huh? And you don’t see the difference do you?

exactly

I don’t know man, I’m a glass 1/2 full kinda guy, so I just try to focus on the good and what I can control kwim. The Predator is annoying cause there is a good movie hidden in there, but a kid doesn’t belong in a merciless alien hunting movie, but at least it’s got some cool kills and whatnot. The game here I don’t really mind any lore they have created and look forward to the Arnold tapes, maybe more of Harrigan. This game to me, just my opinion, is a love letter to the 87 movie, but because it’s considered cannon they still have to work with what has come before, hence stargazer. As for the mechanics of the game it’s full of flaws, but I have so much joy playing it I overlook tons.

As someone who will employ the slam but kind of consider it my job to also create a good match the best I can, I won’t spam slam on a building to kill a whole FT, it’s just to do damage, make them use resources and flush them out. I have standards, low as they may be, they exist

But if against a fire team that have taken your health im 100% sure you’d use the exploit lol.

Maybe, but if they have my health down they most likely aren’t in a room, as for slamming in open spaces that’s a whole other demon to deal with with high risk/reward. I’m also no pro player by any means and just an average Pred at best. So I don’t want to loose but I also don’t want to cheese. I’m not perfect but I try and keep it fun for opponents

At least your honest bro, many predators be like

ā€œnaah not me im beast have you see my youtube vid, i’d never do the slams or use target isolation dont need themā€

lmfao, you get alot of them guys in here mate. Lol

Lol pardon my French, but cram it up your ass. It’s not an exploit, it’s a built in purposeful feature. Like spotting, parry, revive, reinforcement, etc.

Oh for sure man, I don’t false advertise myself, I’ve got no issue admitting I’m still a baby pred unblooded, trying to learn though and not be too cheesy.

It is an exploit donut if not then even still ILLFONIC have some explaining to do with all the fire team mains out there because we thought we purchased an balanced game but OBVIOUSLY NOT!!!

ā€œREFUNDSā€ LOL

The thing where you tap leap right after slam so you can move is an exploit. Slam doing damage through a roof isn’t. Plasma caster and gernade all have spherical splash damage too. Are they exploits? šŸ™„

I have a compromise: if leap slam has to go, then FT has to part ways with either spot, parry, revive, or reinforcement.

Ain’t this subject just beating a dead horse by now just move on and wait for the damn patch.

It’s like 7 days of slam meta to go and either they will rebalance it or its fair game move on people.
