Bear traps ehâŚhmm ok. Considering right now itâs pretty common for the whole damn team to chase you when you need to heal I donât think a measly bear trap is going to do much. But letâs say itâs 2 chasing you. One gets trapped, the other keeps going, the trapped is soon free to continue the chase. Thatâs not even considering if they have the traps perk.

Incorrect. They have this thing called covering each other. If someone is downed the predator needs to make it count by killing them or itâs almost worthless. When he tries to get damage in to finish the body they need to return fire to dissuade him from continuing. This is the game both sides play when someone is down. If they do enough damage the predator will have to retreat and they have earned their heal. The predator however will stand a fair chance at now being chased and in turn will have to earn his heal.

If it was stated in patch notes that âSlam now does damage through surfaces ie Roofs/Wallsâ then thereâd be no argument but the fact that nades and FT explosive weapons are glitching through walls and surfaces that arenât able to be shot through by any other form of weapon just makes it seem clear to me neither should the Slam. Thereâs plenty of ways to go about FT players inside of places without needing slam on a roof I feel too.
Why would it be in the patch notes? Did they add it in? If the patch notes said âKnown Bugs: aoe through objectsâ then youâd have a case, But they arenât going to say âintended effect: aoe hrough objectsâ because then theyâd need to fill up the entire thing with âCan walk forward.â âGuns fire bulletsâ and everything else the game does.

People may have just noticed it better since they added the blinding effect in 1.06, thatâs my guess anyways.
Or maybe something was messed up when the damage values for all Plasma tech was being tweaked. Who knows?

This is why many (myself included) are in the camp that the plasma tech AoE going through objects is intended, as at least it is consistent across the tech.
