No worries, the title is different. xD
So I went up against Field Medics
Donât worry. Itâs not like theyâll drop a balance update before the next DLC, that probably wonât be until April 27th.
Right. The devs arenât going to read the whole thread and stumble across a few comments that say, Val OP.
They wonât even read this title. xD
This is where an explosive device for pred would come in useful, or even an xenomorph acid bomb ? Watch them scurry like roaches
Well its like 1:30 mins for FT and almost 10 for pred(at least 1 week back when Iâve played pred). I am not worried for getting predators to play against as of now. I would say that right now the predator que has the issue of to many people wanting to play as pred.
PS. I donât see why holding up in a house is toxic.
Its not toxic but with the range of weaponry for the other side? If they are holding out in a two tier structure , I dont think the roof slam affects them? Pred needs more weaponry that can flush players and separate . Even if by chance you have the smart disc , if it misses or even hits and gets stuck? It can be destroyed and you are even more limited in options
The preds meant to be a hunter and a trapper , it would be cool if they implemented a perk where you could hack their comms and add an objective to their mission , you pick the spot and its trapped . Would add a hunting element to the game . But after a period of time it either despawns or you need to use it again to keep it active. So they can complete their mission
You need to plasma trough windows. You can also melee TROUGH WALLS (no joking, melee clips trough walls). What it is, its annoying for predators when FT does it.
Thing is, and here is the kicker, you donât need to flush them out, THEY need to come out or they LOSE the game. So if they sit in there, they are going to lose. If time runs out its a loss for FT.
I would not mind more content for the game like what you said in your second posts. I think that would actually be cool but not with added missions since from a lore standpoint it would make no sense, how would the predator know to communicate and trick them into doing more missions.
They could on the other hand to sabotage what youâre doing and make you need to move to another location because your current one is failed. Thing is, I donât see the devs behind this game having the skill to do those.
Well in the Canon preds are smart , they learn and mimic our language? They basically understand what humans are saying ? Either hack into the comms, which with their tech? Would be simple , mimic the operators voice and give them a location ? Or even let the pred hack their comms that cuts them off and means they canât continue their objectives for a period of time or even delay the choppa theres a few ways it coukd be done simple
I am limited to lore from the movie and thatâs about it. I donât think they understand our language (its more then just english) and also to understand us (the fireteam) so well to know how to trick us into doing missions, how would he even know why we are there, what we are after, how the military works, who do we work for and why.
I donât think an elite military unit would just hear a familiar voice telling them to go to X spot and they will do so, more so when we already have a missions briefing before we land.
Cutting coms would work better but I donât know how much sense that would also make since there is no way you donât get a compete briefing before doing an operation. When the game starts you have a complete objective list as well as possible infiltration points. You already know what to do, its just that Zeus gives extra information.
Extra information during the mission that they follow , and if we stick simply to movie lore ? Do you think its a coincidence that anytime the yautja spoke English it was always in context? You are really holding onto what sounds believable in a video game where a 7 foot alien is hunting humans for sport? đ they are smart and from my view anyway , they have at least a basic understanding of the language. They watch and exploit , it would be an advantage for them to know what the prey is communicating
I am not saying stick with movie lore, I am saying thatâs the extent of my knowledge about predators.
I donât really think predators knew what people where saying, I mean, want some candy? Or when the predator repeated Dutch asked him what is he.
PS. I donât think they give enough of a damn about humans to actually bother learning their language. But who knows, perhaps its in the expanded lore that I have no clue about.
In pred 87 , âanytimeâ it knew mac said it to dillon, in context ? It was more of a taunt to let him know he was there . Pred 2 , âwant some candyâ he was offering jerry basically a fight , not really context but it knew it was an offering , âDanny boyâ he knew it was his name and practically whispered in his ear , âshit happensâ he knew he was bested and gave up , âmotherfuckerâ he knew Mike was calling him a motherfucker and insulting him . Predators , Royce told the crucified pred he would cut him down if he gave him a way off the planet , the pred understood and even set the path to earth to keep his end of the deal?
In all the instances he was repeating words he ârecordedâ before, adding nothing to them or combining them into a language. He just records and plays back what he is hearing. Did you ever hear a predator form a sentence or combine words together with meaning? I did not.
Ok , so a simple question, how did Royce make a deal with the crucified pred? , if there was no understanding of what he was saying what so ever then it wouldnât have made the deal? That scene alone confirms it mate
Alot of times in pred 2 the words were used in context . He knew what Mike was going to call him and when he was at a disadvantage he said shit happens , which was certainly not random and fully in context
He should the predator âUPâ as well as the fact that the predators are a sentient species, its not like he would not know what those kidnapped humans want. Attributing simple words to events its not that hard, forming complete sentences is another (grammatically correct just as well).
They do understand something but, again, have you ever hear them combine words and communicate? Its more like repeating certain words they heard. If they want to communicate to the FT in a way to trick them into doing other missions, it would require a bit more then single words.
You literally just relentlessly roof slam. They will run out of heals after like the 6th or 7th time. Now is this fun? No. Is it a rewarding win? No. But will you win? Yes
He literally tells Harrigan to âtake itâ and throws him a weapon lol so yeah
