This is a smart way to play, don’t get me wrong, but most console games I’ve played, I’m the only person spotting and firing on the Pred when he’s on a building or in trees. Most of my team is dicking around collecting currency or trying to hide. Because of that, sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint a arrow or plasma shot, so I’d rather be able to take that damage and continue searching for the Pred than just get wiped and my team is too scared to revive me. Remember, I’m essentially doing this solo, I can’t rely on my team. So I beef myself up and use them as bait most of the time.
Soooo….how does one git gud at PS5 fireteam?
Good luck reloading faster while instantly dead from 1 charged plasma shot. It’s just not the move
I’d advise you not to touch the ADS sensitivity, unless you’re going for sniper builds. You’ll want faster ADS with those. Otherwise, crank up the regular look speed. It’s utter nonsense how slow some people look when they’re playing this game, lol.
If you try running scout without thick skin you are dying literally instantly if the predator is not a mongaloid
I’ve literally chased down Predators and fought against some of the best console Predators. It’s all about surviving. You. Don’t. Need. Them.
Ok come test that out
You do need them. You will be one shot. Let’s test it
You’re going to be one shot by most stuff in the game at only 150 hp. If a Predator shoots with you a charged anything and leaps down to smack you, you’re dead before the stim can heal you. They’re wasted perk points, in my honest opinion. I’d rather equip shit that actually gives me an edge beyond putting on some weight.
Agreed. I play scout without OWLF training or Thick Skin. You’re mostly 1-shot dead with a lot of things anyhow, so may as well use perks that will be more useful at other things. Double Time or Iron Lungs is more useful because there’s a passive damage reduction when sprinting and you have a better chance of dodging the Predator when you’re using Double Time. They also then double as super useful for chasing, if the predator is second winded, they’re dead.
No you won’t. You’ll have a small amount of HP left. Here’s what I’ll say, I run Isabelle with bane and not thick skin cause it’s fun. Usually works out just fine lol but most predators are bad. Come play when you’re ready to see what happens to scout with 0 thick skin against predators with meta plasma builds. But again, I play for fun with squish builds. But it’s definitely the weaker option
The only weapon 1 shotting you, like true one shotting you, from 150, is the disc. Spear throw is not. Neither is plasma
Analytic, stalker, down range can one shot any 150 if you’re hit in the head. Having below 150 hp isn’t good, obviously, but it’s not a death sentence. I can literally cod battle a Predator as a Scout Duelist with yautja’s bane, double time and fast hands. That’s how stupid this fucking game is, lol.
I can’t recommend the Hammerhead enough with Deadly and Yautjas Bane.
I call mine Pammy the Hammy.
Hey. I recognized your name a couple of times recently when I was playing as predator. I didn’t realize you used to be a predator main, but that makes sense now. I’m late to this party, but it looks like @DisturbedLlama had your back on this one already.
I mostly agree with this. You want to remain above certain thresholds. I like double time, OWLF, and quick release on my scout build. Speed will keep you alive, not to mention the passive, but you’ll probably have trouble with potato teammates against a decent predator. You’d want to really focus on finishing the mission quickly with that build. The Dutch characters are really the best in 1v1 situations.
For personal defense, the AR-W is much better. The Hammerhead mainly excels at range with the under barrel grenade launcher as a nice initiator, but that won’t really work in close range combat.
2025 is passively stealthier and has deadly, so this is good for all around gameplay.
Dutch 87 is probably best for 1v1 situations. Passive hipfire damage stacks nicely with Reckless. The damage reduction while mudded stacks nicely with OWLF and/or Thick Skin. He has the 2nd highest stamina pool in the game, which is nice for parrying and staying mobile. These all help you stay alive and deal damage. Finally, 11 perk points really allows for a diverse set of possible effective builds.
This is a perfectly respectable build. An absolute tank, and the Fast Hands will help you hit those Field Syrettes in critical moments.
Exactly. The only way to play solo is to bait the predator into bad situations, then punish them as much as possible.
If you ever want some actual game numbers, I collaborated on a website that has everything in an easy to navigate format. Predator: Hunting Grounds Guide. Happy hunting.
Playing this game with randoms is like playing Russian Roulette with five bullets in the chamber. At least with only one random, you can enjoy the game. Two is still fun, but only if you Royce them for the luls. It’s rare to get pleasantly surprised and the random actually be any good.

Assault+Deadly+Bane+Hipfire accuracy+Fast hands
Hammerhead+Extended Mag+Red Dot
1011+extended mag
Syrette+Ammo Bag
Try not to aim downsights, it makes you move slower
Assault+Hipfire Passive+Hipfire perk will be insanely precise, specially with the 1011
You will be dealing most damage upclose, be ready to parry and switch weapons when needed
Good game, fun match.
