I just play games I like, fighting games never interested me, maybe if they make one from a series I like but otherwise not interested.

I feel like it’s a mix of both tbh. It’s a learned trait but there can be some ingrained factor to it as well as part of brain/body health and what not.

I agree. Also true on the Souls thing cause then that’d fall into game knowledge but I’d say that it’s something that takes more practice than say a Shooter would.

My discussion was based in the context of gaming and not real world applications, plus use of the word “skill” in being “really good at the game in particular”, but not games in general because every game is different you know/irl.

But in a real world application, I’d probably have to say yes.

I would agree with you that it’s me being biased IF it was only me.
But it was countless people who all agreed it was bitch play.

You gotta understand, back then any pred that switched it up and won was considered good especially against a full team. This was back in the early days when the game was actually alive and in a slightly better state.

So all these people, who were really really good at the game, are all wrong? Nah man.

Bow hopping is a necessary evil, but its still bitch play.
You only want it to be considered skill based cause it’s how you like playing.

I know how effective it is.
But I never decided to go that route cause it’s just bitch play.

Besides I always switched it up.
I don’t play anymore like I used to, bugs and performance make this game really difficult to enjoy.

As for getting a melee wipe.
Idk man, if you let that happen you deserve the t bag.
Cause it’s so easy to avoid.

But ive played damn near every genre, and fps was one I was really good at for a time.

But it’s so easy.

I want you to look at some fighting games and compare them to shooters.
Theres so much more going on that you HAVE to know what you’re doing or you’re fucked.

Shooters are pretty much the same.

I dont play like I used to because its extremely hard for me to put my heart into anything these days.
But shooters were always the easiest out of every genre.

As for what is pred supposed to do.
Well honestly you have to play like a bitch.
But unfortunately this is also a thing with pvp in general.

At a certain point people get so obsessed with winning skill goes out the window and people focus on the cheapest and easiest ways to win.

I mean, your wording really helped you if you wanted me to admit “knowledge = skill”.

Of course, knowledge = skill generally and usually the whole thing about knowledge not being supplemented by ability would apply here, but at the end of the day, we’re talking about a game, a game that is this game in particular; ruled by both Meta and Glitch in equal capacity.

Taking a shit in a bush takes more skill in making sure the sticks don’t go up your ass, than downing someone with Battle Axe or Bow Hopping does.
