Keep in mind, I kept it schtum for around 3 years (or only stated it rhetorically/sarcastically) on my alt account when I first signed up, since then I think I brought it up in an argument about the likelihood of god being benevolent with a really stupid catholic. Either way, it’s important to note that the one thing we have in common with other humans are that no two people on the aspd spectrum are the same. Despite my activities on this forum I’m actually not a loudmouth in person. I just look out for trouble and join in when opportune. I also happen to live around a very high-risk area - lots of chibbings going on here, and the cops don’t even bother with half of them. They most certainly don’t care if someone’s going around killing muggers.

I can see you liking it now, but at some point you probably believed it was a problem and did try to get treated and it was probably effective until you were able to find this middle ground.

It’s not like other people don’t do what they like, but it is limited by responsibility to self and others. Then there’s risk reward. I’m sure you can’t do anything you would like, even if it comes to curiosity and not any practical benefit, because it would be too much in the public eye.

I’m not sure what your degree was exactly, but you probably interacted with people who needed psych assistance or advice. I bet you gave qualified advice and those folks would recommend you, and not because you ‘freed’ them of societal or consciousness constraints and they did things that would come back to you.

Because I exercised tact introducing it into discussions. It was a discussion on brain injuries, and I merely stated that afterwards my emotional capacity was damaged.
From there I applied the principle of the frog and the pot of boiling water, except instead of gradually turning up the flame I gradually turned up the truth.

No, actually. As soon as I came across the definition of psychopathy and sociopathy in my studies, I was just like ‘holy fuck, that’s awesome. If I put a lil more practice and effort into this, I could do some absolutely baked shit’.

Oh I did give the usual advice to most during my career, but there were like 4 or 5 that I shared my point of view with - I don’t doubt they would’ve killed themselves if I hadn’t, they were properly like off-the-deep-end depressed and it was because people had been abusing them all their lives one way or another; whether it was relationship-wise, due to their employers treating them like shit, or just in general humans being scummy pieces of shit. After I introduced them to the concept that morals weren’t something they had to abide by, and gave them some thought experiments to work through, they actually recovered quite nicely. In fact, they were better than before.
