Who doesn't like a good mystery?

I could see it working as a short term contracts from the employee side, but the employer would probably want longer term contracts and that could be a problem. I guess compensation would have to be really good to make it worth it.

There could be a lot of abuse of power. Think red faction.

Thatā€™s cause you ppl are corrupt!!!

When option becomes available not many people hold off.

Illfonic is doing a ghost hunters stream right now if youā€™re interested.

Anyone everheard of SMILE by Dr. Timothy Leary?

S-Space Migration. Intelligence increase, and Life Extentsion.

Or perhaps the read the works of Buckminster Fuller? All these utopian ideas seemed to spring up during the 70s when the space program was most active. I am all for it, but I wont even get on an airline these days. Itā€™s just not an enjoyable experience anymore. We need to move past our monkey brains and advance into a higher level. The next frontier is consciousness.

Ew. No. Lol

There were about 440 folks watching. Didnā€™t recognize any names from our side of the woods except for two. Can you guess who?

Not all of them, but you have to acknowledge the innate existence of evil, mental illness, whatever defects that are stopping your ideal.

And if in wiping those things out for your ideal, you become the inhumane one. Might makes right and all. I simply acknowledge SOMEONE has to be that guy.

You canā€™t expect people to become some kind of collective. We simply arenā€™t built for it.

but the Ants areā€¦ Letā€™s augment our DNA with theirs. Like in Predator 2018.

Launching yourself into the void space is probably the most extreme form of escapism next to kys.

Living vicariously through an intangible ideal instead of operating at your level and creating meaningful interactions

but thats my spicy hot take

If nothing else, i think itā€™ll get boring. Things will not be as exciting or change as fast. It only looks kinda interesting in movies cause thereā€™s an ET around. And i mean interesting for the viewer, but not really for people experiencing this. Just look at the ISS. Every video they send is boring and the only fun thing is doing flips in anti gravity šŸ˜‚

Iā€™m down with the give everyone drugs part. Free Ganja for the masses.

Its not about being a hive mind. Like people can still be unique but follow the same shit.
After all its just about making things beneficial for everyone.

Iā€™m fairly confident we can reach that tho.

tl;dr ā€œI know whats best for youā€

Thatā€™s not really it either.
Its literally about trying to make things as peaceful and smooth as possible.

But I guess wanting a place where the majority of people get along and have a fair chance is wanting too much.

Yeah its naive, but itā€™s something Iā€™ve always wanted.

It just seems everyone is against that and loves how shitty things are though.

Donā€™t go or strive for world peace, the so called free world will think you are an extremistā€¦communist of some sort and the dictators and the non-free world will only try to exploit that and expand their ideology that brings ruin with the help of your efforts.

Field tested via history.

I cant help hoping.
Theres no point in humanity existing if we cant reach that point.

I agree with hope. But at some point we have to make this leapā€¦of trying to get together and our shit straight, when it comes to survival and exploring deep space, or the universe.

ā€¦ and our consciousness (Mind).

Iā€™ll say this: Humans are a bit of a bunch of bitches.

Yeah Fire, I get what youā€™re saying with that, but look at life and history and tell me that there wonā€™t be a bunch of shit like corruption, people always on top, etc. I get wanting to have hope, but what does it really matter in the long run? No one here will live to see it, our lives are inconsequential at best, and humanity eventually will go extinct, as every other species and eventually all life will.
Like, you canā€™t honestly tell me that my life will be some great thing that permanently alters the universe or makes history books, and even if it could why does that matter?

People are intensely selfish. People put themselves and their close ones over others, and then ultimately themselves over their close ones with very few exceptions. And those are the exceptions, not the rule. I donā€™t expect anyone to choose my life over theirs, itā€™d be a stupid choice. It can be seen in starvation scenarios, people will eat each other and even their loved ones just for a few more seconds of life.
Ideas of good and bad are just memes (in the psychological definition of memetics). Expose someone to anger long enough, they will learn to hate. They become a carrier. Envy, greed, despair, good, bad, right, wrongā€¦ All memes, all passed along. You canā€™t fight nature.
Wind blows, rain falls, and the strong prey upon the weak. We see it both in nature and society. Donā€™t be ashamed or angry at the world. Itā€™s only nature, running its course. No one has no truly important choices to make. Nothing to answer for. You all can die with a clear conscience.
