Mythbusters Predator Edition: Cloaking challenge!

Had a few games vs scum using these kinds of settings. Literally spotted and taking shots as soon as I was getting in to visual range of the FT.

Why you would want to play that way is beyond me, if you’re not good enough to win without using exploits, get better or uninstall.

yea I (Pc) fought a few full pc teams today… literally would just be sniped from a mile away lol, they could see me coming clear as day ahaha… thank our Elders for the boars they sent us… rofl potato graphics are the way of the future bro

I main Recon as fireteam with 2nd sniper and never concentrate on the AI, constantly looking for the Predator, his movement and where he´s going to settle down to shoot him at the head.
If the guy was in the building he maybe scouts you through a window or stalked you from a edge of the building and just waited until you find your place to stalk them.
As a Sniper you just have to be patient and wait for the right moment like a Predator should do too.
After he knews your exact position its easy to run outside and give you the first headshot and the two more are much easier.

As Predator i learned you should never stay too long in one place, you need more like hit and run tactics to confuse them, cause with headphones its really easy to locate youre accurate direction with sound.

He came out of the jungle, not from a building, I literally watched the four of them run into the train yard from the NE corner, I was on the roof of the western most building. He stopped and shot me in the head three times.

I just can explain how i play it and if i am at the jungle i dont run at the mud floor, i just use high grounds to get an overview and looking for the Predator movement. If i have a first trail its easy to keep track, while still running. I can see your movement over the complete trainyard if i use something like a rock or high ground.

If you was in this place a long time before they arrive there, without any movement of you its impossible to come from the jungle and know your exact position through the whole trainyard, but if it was the second stage he could saw you earlier and just followed it until you settle down.

Yes, I had been still for 10 seconds and could hear the team still shooting a ways off when I stopped moving.

It was a minute or less after game start. I hadn’t even announced my presence to the FTs yet, and wasn’t using thermal.

Thats suspicious, but i am pretty sure theres a logical explanation for it, without some graphicerrors or something like that.
If you play some games you know the most Predators are on the roofs at this location, so you know where you should looking at, but as i said if he didnt saw you earlier its impossible to directly see you.
You had to move into the trainyard too, so it could be possible he saw you while this.

As Recon with running perk i am mostly the “leader of my gang” and be in a high place and scout the area long befor my team catch up to me. After that we move in as four.
We cant know if he watched you from a bush while waiting for his team to arrive but its possible without you noticing it.
I never spot the Predator directly too, if i see him i just spot besides him to dont give him a clue i am looking at him.

Does it go invisible faster If crouching? If so is it instant? And If predator jumps and go crouch mid air does he go invisible right when he hits land?

Crouching makes the transition to invisible faster than just standing.

It takes roughly the same amount of time as crouching. So pretty much when the animation for crouching finishes, you are invisible.

While standing it is roughly as long as the audio effect when you activate stealth, around 3 seconds I believe.

Check out some of the videos, I uploaded to Google drive instead of YouTube so that folks would have access to 60fps examples they could load into a movie editor and interrogate for themselves if they wanted.

Bumping this as I have given the solution to the challenge as well as updated the videos for 1.11.

Thanks!
